I agree but I think Pringle starts over Mack.Nice breakdown.
but I would swap Rice / Cruz. Otherwise, that looks right.

Other than Collins I have no idea where guys out of the remaining 9 are going to play or in what order. I’d probably swap Pringle for Mack and Rice for Cruz, but that is a pure guessI organized this as a two deep, which admittedly is not 100% clean because some of these guys play a couple positions.
But it is probably as good as we can get for a two deep as of right now…
Position First Team Second Team LT Mack Bertrand LG Ferguson Washington C Collins Miller RG Cruz Rice RT Weatherspoon Pringle
Total guess at LT where it sounds like Betrand and Mack are really close. I bet they both play.
Thinking Ferguson starts initially given his big edge in experience. But I think Washington starting is inevitable.
Washington, Hawn and Stewart sound like the frosh that are most likely to play, in that order. Hoping only Washington burns a year of eligibility in 2025.
I agree but I think Pringle starts over Mack.
Pringle and Big Byron on the right side next year sounds scary for the opposing DL.He might.
But I wouldn't discount Mack so easily. He is an impressive physical specimen, and he's been on the depth chart for two years. He's ready to ascend.
If he's not up to the task, I'm not sure that any of the others are natural LTs [beyond Hahn, who probably isn't ready as a true frosh, especially against this type of schedule]. Pringle strikes me as more of a RT. Betrand seems too big -- not sure if he has the lateral mobility. Time will tell on both counts.
I hope Pringle lives up to his recruiting ranking. We'll see.
That would be a tremendous amount of meatPringle and Big Byron on the right side next year sounds scary for the opposing DL.
Expect Ferguson to play right guard and weatherspoon to play right tackle.Other than Collins I have no idea where guys out of the remaining 9 are going to play or in what order. I’d probably swap Pringle for Mack and Rice for Cruz, but that is a pure guess
That's how I look at it. I like enthusiasm and I'm not trying to be a wet blanket, but overrating our OL in the preseason seems like it's an annual tradition. But I am optimistic about the potential.Maybe a tad premature?
The OL looks the part. But before we "know" we are 12 deep - or even 5 deep - we have to see them perform as a functional unit on the field. OL play is complex and interdependent on how well the guy next to you is performing.I know, I know and water is wet.
I appreciate and understand the preseason enthusiasm. And, there is no denying the physical transformation of the OL since FB's arrival. I am cautiously optimistic that the OL might be very good. We absolutely need them to be to be competitive with the schedule we face. Fingers crossed.
I expect to see Byron in short yardage situations. He is a mountainPringle and Big Byron on the right side next year sounds scary for the opposing DL.
This is the one.My guess
1 - Collins, Spoon, Ferguson, Pringle, Rice
2- Betrand, Miller, Mack, Cruz, Washington
Good God do you guys see things I don't. Boy, do I hope you are correct. We have a legit 2 deep on the O'line. We have probably 12 legit O-linemen, those are first world problems. That's what we have to get used to, the same problems that Ohio State, Clemson, Alabama...have to deal with. We have depth at all positions. We have the talent to run the table.
Left to rightMy guess
1 - Collins, Spoon, Ferguson, Pringle, Rice
2- Betrand, Miller, Mack, Cruz, Washington
If Hahn can hold down the entire line by himself, let's get him on first team!Left to right
1 - Mack, Rice, Collins, Ferguson, Spoon
2 - Pringle, Cruz, Miller, Washington, Bertrand
3 - Hahn
I think some break pressing is in order. We know have a roster that is about top 3rd ACC (Potential). This isn’t the best backfield in the ACC or best WR room. It’s a solid competitive team that isn’t going to get smushed by opponents. That’s as far as it goes, for now.Good God do you guys see things I don't. Boy, do I hope you are correct.

I’m not going to take the time to do a comparative analysis but I suspect, at least Clemson, Miami, Lville, SMU, FSU, have higher HS and transfer rankings in their rooms.Who has a better WR room?
Nobody has any clue. Especially in the era of the portal where things can change night and day from one year to the next.Good God do you guys see things I don't. Boy, do I hope you are correct.
So you’re saying you are not sure and just going off of rankings. I’m guessing we have Wr’s who will have a shot at playing in the NFL, maybe a TE and probably RB’s…It’s why you play the games.I’m not going to take the time to do a comparative analysis but I suspect, at least Clemson, Miami, Lville, SMU, FSU, have higher HS and transfer rankings in their rooms.
I’m not saying SU’s is bad at all

He played 12 offensive snaps, eight as an OL and 4 as an additional lineman. I find it amazing that you have memories of multiple plays at all.I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but Mack at the blind side tackle spot scares the hell out of me.
The highlights I remember him for is missing badly on blocks a number of times.

The sack vs BC that cost us the safety and probably the gameI don’t even remember McCord getting sacked last year does anyone else ? And this unit is way better with bigger guys. This and WR are least of my worries
