I probably shouldn't have chosen to write my concerns on the o line thread. I just see a lot of hubris on our site. I have seen it before, Namely, after our last 10 win season. I think our defense is a big question mark especially with the schedule we are playing. Plus, while it seems most here love our depth, we are going to have more than our share of injuries due to that schedule. I worry that we will get worn down. I see a floor of 4 and a ceiling of 7. If we win 7 games, I will be trilled and excited beyond belief for '26.

Agree with the prognostication, and love the use of the word hubris.

Seems not that long ago we had a hard time figuring out if we had a 5th guy good enough to start. The situation pleases me and I just hope the coaches figure out how to make the most of them.

I think team mentality was a big reason for the failures after our last 10 win season. They were ranked, reading their press clippings, Dino said it himself. That Maryland team was bad and had a field day.

This year, no ranking, no respect, and a schedule that would humble anyone.

Now, did we lose too much material to expect much success right away? That's a legit concern. Hoping the transfer portal makes that different this time around.

I can totally understand the ptsd for a lot of fans. Especially those of us that have lived with the ups and downs, mostly downs of the last 25 years. I just feel this team is so different than those others in so many ways. Coaching, coaching depth, player development, strength and conditioning, and the depth of the team.
I know the schedule is killer but I’d never bet against Fran.
