Are his cutlets better than Tommy?"Angeli to Cook" is going to be our second most common play by play call, after only "Willis gets the carry."

Also he isn't exactly a typical walk on. He came to SU as a scholarship lacrosse player first but then decided he also wanted a shot at playing QB. If he was all in on football he'd have been a scholarship player elsewhere.I'd be shocked if he's ever above 3rd string. There's too much talent and the transfer portal will always be a better option. Nothing against Filardi but being the walk-on QB in a class of 3 doesn't bode well.
which is also a detriment to his development. Hell of an athlete I am sure and a nice story but I have a tough time ever seeing him making a real impact on the football side. Also he isn't exactly a typical walk on. Yeah it could be. It depends on what he ultimately decides to do. But I don't see him playing two sports all that long. That seems too difficult to manage. Maybe things look pretty good with football and he decides there is more opportunity and more money to be had there. Or... maybe lacrosse starts looking like the better path to him. Granted, he may be an alien, but ND's Faison is a star at both. The video clip of Angeli showed him throwing to Faison over and over and over.Yeah it could be. Donnie Webb was the gold standard for all those years.
Bailey was all about quantity of content. Overloaded you with videos from whatever parts of practice he watched. Did chats with us here which was great.
Emily was higher quality, but less quantity than Bailey.
We'll see on Javon. But I agree with others, that podcast from yesterday wasn't his best work.
I hope I don't find myself missing the bathroom selfies.
I personally like Javon, but can definitely see your point. He does reference both far too much.Who else is sick of Javon’s constant references to Temple and the Baltimore Ravens?
I always thought the same about Jordan, but word was he didn't have the hands for slot, and he did do well at RB at Louisville. I drooled over the idea of him in the slot with Tucker in the backfield.Howard had ball security issues which, given he he was a tank, was odd.
Interesting though re past vs current... we can now offer players at the position we see them best at vs offering whatever position they wanted so that we'd get them. Jordan probably should have been slot wr from day 1 aka Erv 2.0, and big generals leg injury probably should have put him on defense after lateral movement was noticeably hampered.
Miss having Hough's dad on the message board, he's great people. Same with Alec Lemon, Shy Cullen and BJ Johnson's fathers and I'm sure many others I'm missing.
Anyone who references Temple in football should never be listened to. Especially since they have never won the Lambert Trophy as best team in the East . It's been awarded since 1936. Even Dartmouth has won it.Who else is sick of Javon’s constant references to Temple and the Baltimore Ravens?
It’s GOD awful. Go start a generic sports podcast if you want to reference every single thing to those two teams. I want to like Javon but he’s making it very difficult.Who else is sick of Javon’s constant references to Temple and the Baltimore Ravens?

Every vid I see with him he comes across as really annoying.Who else is sick of Javon’s constant references to Temple and the Baltimore Ravens?
Agreed it’s not goodEvery vid I see with him he comes across as really annoying.
Yeah well said - I was thinking of how best to say this. I like Davon and think he’s going to be fun to listen to and I hope he grows with the program. That would be nice to seewe really need a game to talk about versus an entry level reporter trying to find his way in a new community with a new team.
he is a good athlete but he isnt in the same league as the kid from Texas who I believe will push for a starting spot if Steve leaves after this seasonI'd be shocked if he's ever above 3rd string. Yeah I certainly don't expect Filardi to push anybody for the depth chart now as a true freshman and i don't expect him to ever push Carney for a starting spot. I LOVE Carney's potential. But if Carney were to leave early for the NFL, i think its possible that as an upperclassmen, Filardi with all that development time, could push for a second string or maybe even a starter role at that point. Not saying he will, just that I wouldn't rule out the possibility at this point despite him being a walk on football player. He looks like he has some tools and potential to work with.he is a good athlete but he isnt in the same league as the kid from Texas who I believe will push for a starting spot if Steve leaves after this season
I am pretty sure he plays LAX at Cuse. He will likely stick around.

Reminder - there no longer are scholarship limits, there are now roster limits. The football roster limit is 105 (plus grandfathered walk-ons) although SU and SEC schools at least have said they're staying at 85 scholarships. For Mens Lacrosse the roster limit is 48 in place of the former scholarship limit of 12.6 (or was it 12.7?) Doesn't answer your question as to where Filardi fits in. Presumably he's on the football roster limit right now. With so much churn in NCAA/NIL rules over the last 3-5 years…
How is SU able to stash a lacrosse player as a football walk on?
I’m assuming that rule saying if a kid played a second sport (plus football) his scholarship had to count against the football allotment.
Has this rule changed? I’m curious because Filardi is a top flight lax player who would presumably be paid a partial scholarship.
Has NIL effectively made that rule null & void (if collectives could defray a kid’s tuition expense as a walk on)?
(Sorry to further derail the camp thread and yes, I acknowledge my laziness not using the Google)
