2025 schedule

I don’t think I’m being a downer, I just think we disagree on how to build up the brand initially. Because I do think you have to schedule teams like that, I just disagreed on the timing. I wouldn’t have scheduled them in 2021.

Well, we can’t take multiple FCS teams.

When given an opportunity to play in a national game, on guaranteed national television, at a neutral site you have to take it

I just don’t get why you ALSO take a game AT Notre Dame in the same year.

So I think we do actually agree.

We just have an issue with what game we should have/should have not taken

Turns out SU does not have an FCS opponent in ‘25.

Well, I knew the 2025 schedule is a mess

Need to find a way out of that Notre Dame game

Especially going there in 26 too per FBS schedules

SU hosts ND in ‘26 according to cuse dot com.

Was the amount of money we get from the game announced?

Who do you trust in matters related to Syracuse athletics? The official SU athletics site or some other site?
Wait a second, don’t answer that.

The one that has us playing UConn in 2024 and not that one that doesn’t have us playing in UConn 2024

LOL

Did we have a choice on ND? I thought the ACC made the ND schedule.

We are playing UConn in 24

The question is, where?

Reading the tea leaves: I believe we play at UConn in '24, host them in '25 and '26. The '27 game is canceled.

Don't expect too much clarity anytime soon due to CalFord and SMU additions

I’ve looked at a few sites including the official ND site and it appears that SU visits South Bend in ‘25 and ‘26. The only site that says the ‘26 game is at SU is the SU site.

I wouldn't put any credence into any schedule that is written down right now because we don't know how the ACC will handle incorporating Calford and SMU. I could swear that I saw an item posted here that said the ACC would go to the 2-7-7 model, but I could easily be wrong. If (notice that's a big "if") that happens, everyone will lose an OOC game they've already set up and the only sure thing about permanent pairings is that the 3 new teams will have each other.

You have 6 to play 4 with Covid

Shrader is done
Not saying you’re wrong, but how did Sam H get away with this?

Unless 2019 is injury and 2020 is a free year?

You probably thought UConn was an FCS when they are really DII. :p
I'd rather play them at Yukon next year...Mora might need 5-6 years to get up to low level P5 power status

right, the only issue with 2025 is AT Notre Dame

Horrible decision tbere

But to be relevant and a brand you have to take national games like the Tennessee game

When we win, it’s going to make us look really good

Time to stop being Debbie downers here in cuse world

Back to back 4-0 starts

It got messed up.

In ND's 1st 12 year deal with the ACC (2014-25), they played us 5 times.
2014: MetLife
2016: MetLife
2018: Yankee Stadium (moved from South Bend)
2022: Syracuse
2025: South Bend.

Due to Covid in 2020, we got an additional game at South Bend.

In ND's 2nd 12 year deal (2026-37), we play each other 4 times.
2026: South Bend
2029: Syracuse
2034: South Bend
2037: Syracuse

Just weird that we ended up with back-to-back road games in 25 & 26.

If ND needs to make room for SMU or Cal on their 2025 schedule, I'd be happy to defer that 2025 trip to another year. Or bag it entirely.

9 games in 24 years is good enough (3 home, 3 road, 3 neutral).

After 2037, we're liable to be in the Patriot League.

ACC deal. ND agreed to play 5 ACC teams a year for 24 years.. The ACC decided who and where.

Can actually play 5 with Covid, If one of the 5 is 2020. Really questionable decision by the NCAA and is still impacting high school recruits.
