I'm not the least bit a Giants fan, but still have tremendous respect for Coughlin as a coach and consider that only a very good thing to have him involved in the program in any capacity.

Hes a Syracuse Legend. Who gives a Sh what pro team we all follow.

Don’t know much about femur injuries, but there is someone on a crutch during these DB drills

I'd be surprised if that guy had a broken femur, at least a new one. If it was a recent femur fracture, he would be non-weight bearing and would probably keep the foot of his injured leg off the ground.

Dude was a walking penalty machine. His crowning achievement was the personal foul from the sideline.

They had to assign a person to watch Ravian on the sideline so he wouldn't get an unsportsmanlike call when an opponent was tackled OOB on our sideline. He would also put himself into the game without being sent in by a coach. Dude was a character to say the least.

At the same time, if it was clear to him his starting path is blocked, must mean they've seen a lot to like in spring.

One thing I’m still concerned with entering spring portal is offensive line. I think we did a decent job last year. I also think McCord and Nixon schemed really really good so he didn’t sit in the pocket too long. With Wohlabaugh leaving I’m hoping we go after 1 or 2 more veterans in the portal.

Watched the presser: Fran effectively said he may go into the portal but hopes he chooses to stay. Maybes don’t get reporters clicks though.

Ok it's clear we are at that point towards end of spring session. Gotta think some room will open at the inn so to speak for various reasons. Agree with who said OL and LB could be portal focus. Anyone else know who else may be on the way out?

There is no room. The team is going to need to shed headcount.

I think we will see more of this in the next week or two; upper classmen who may have been passed up by younger guys and although playing time appears to be likely, they want more and will look elsewhere.

I can think of a couple guys who might fit this description, but without confirmation I will fall short of mentioning any names. It would be pure speculation and not fair to the player(s) to attach a name on my thoughts.

It will be interesting to see the rotations this Saturday. Personally, I would not be surprised to see the 3's and 4's getting plenty of reps so the coaches can get as much information on these guys before they have some "talks".

I understand the desire to upgrade some position groups, but our numbers are impacted, so I don't think we will be able to add anyone from the portal until we clear room on the roster. What's the old saying, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush?


The next few weeks should be very interesting.

Agree. I’m not a cuse football coach but I wonder if we can move McDonald to edge, grab a veteran linebacker in portal and pickup 1-2 veteran fcs offensive lineman that might hit portal.
