Carney could be the 2nd coming of Tom Brady, there is no way in hell that he will be a true frosh starter and open his college career in Atlanta vs Tennessee. Just will never happen and most feel he will redshirt other than the Syracusefan elite 11 scouting division

I personally think it's a long shot but I've just been relaying what I've been told. And the staff is very high on him and he'll have a chance to play on day one. The betting favorite is Rickie right now.

for the record i never once said i have an issue with Carney. I think he’s a good QB to throw into the competition. We’ve also anointed countless HS QB’s as the next Donovan McNabb so excuse me if i don’t hold my breathe . You’re just so much of a spazz that slipped by your reading comprehension. I’ve long stated that we should bring in as many QB’s as possible , have them compete, and let the rest sort itself out after. I don’t need you, whoever you are, educating me on anything.

Just yesterday you were talking about he was an "84" and being a wise a$$ claiming they "reranked" him. When you get called out on your BS you try and turn it around on the people calling you out. TBH- I couldn't care less about your opinions. I was just trying to help fill you in, while providing some insight that might help you be more encouraged about the current roster and upcoming season. The thing I don't understand about your perspective is that you seem to be frustrated that we're not recruiting or bringing in transfers at the standard that Fran set in year 1.

I think Fran knew he needed a big year 1 to build momentum for turning the program around. We needed to make a splash and we did. We got McCord. We made massive noise on the recruiting trail and landed some big fish and built buzz. This was all part of the plan, but now Fran needs to build something sustainable with Syracuse's resources.

So many people are so focused on the schedule next year - Fran didn't build that schedule. It's insane to expect him to match this year's win total, even if we know he's going to try like hell. We all have to zoom out and think about this in terms of a five year plan.

I'm shocked at how many of our fans now think we're entitled to 10 win seasons and bringing in double digit 4-stars for the foreseeable future. Be grateful that we're quasi-relevant again.

I think 50 of the scholarship players in the upcoming roster are redshirt or true freshman. This will be the foundation of Fran's next 5 years. I agree with you, gotta zoom out...
