I like it to be honest. Suarez is a beast but not on board giving up Dominguez or Jones for a few month rental. Obviously Schittler shouldn't remotely be considered.

Agreed. I didn’t want to see us give up a lot for someone his age, and have us lamenting yet another player aging out before his contract does.

I like McMahon much better than Suarez defensively. They certainly don't need to introduce any bad defenders.

Some injured pitcher updates, via Aaron Boone:

The re-imaging of Mark Leiter Jr.’s leg went well. He is scheduled for a full go bullpen session today.

Ryan Yarbrough is scheduled for a touch and feel bullpen session today.

Fernando Cruz could get back on the mound sometime next week.

Luis Gil is doing well after his last rehab start. There’s probably a good chance he makes another one before rejoining the Yankees.

McMahon sucks. A low average hitter with a high strikeout rate isn’t any better than the dreck the Yanks have been trotting out there. He’s a good fielder, but not substantially better than Peraza or Vivas. It looks like making a move just to say you’ve made a move. Before anyone says that the Yankees aren’t winning a title with Peraza at third, I’d say they’re not winning one with McMahon at third either.
