My guess is since they used him as a pinch runner in the top of the inning, they probably didn’t want to burn another move by then putting in Slater.

even if xavier drops it he only gets one out. chisholm's purported gamble turns it into a double play and erases both runners. explain any scenario where jazz ends up safely on second base. dumb.
