90% of the team's problems are solved with a new GM. I'm not delusional enough to believe it will ever happen though. 16 years of Cashman trying to be the smartest in the room and all he does is compound interest with embarrassing exits year after year. I don't even really care about Boone, it's all Cashman. The lineups, the defense alignment, the pinch hitting, it's all Cashman and his idiot brain trust. They don't know how to use sabremetrics and when they don't use analytics it's during situations when they need to use sabrementrics. But again Cashman thinks he's the smartest in the room so we do this every year with the same results. 1-15 11K's from the shortstop all because Cashman can't admit he was wrong.
Every time the fans say they want a new GM Michael Kay always does his usual "if you fire him get gets hired by someone else before he's out the door!" That's like my cheating ex saying "you lose me if you let me walk out the door!" Good! Let someone else make that mistake! You know how much I want to see Cashman run a team without the resources he has right now? Imagine him running a team like Tampa. They would win 40 games.
