Why not just play a road game in Indiana's facility? The building is going to be 95% Indiana fans. It's a road game. Yet if we somehow win, it is totally watered down in the eyes of the metrics.

This is the kind of thing we need to pay attention to as we try to work out way back into low end tournament contention.

Pretty sure you get a hefty guarantee when you play an a neutral site.

It could be that or Syracuse is trying to cut out some of the meaningless games unless you run up the margin in the non conference or get Hofstra’d where they have to pay the opponent and hope there is enough buzz to get the attendance to make a small profit on the night. With 13 non conference games, 7 should be against power conference competition moving forward.

Just bring back the carrier Classic only cal; it something else and make it three days instead of 2 have 8 teams and play and teams like that to fill out the 8 teams a around Thanksgiving. we can have several games that can have 35-30 thousand people . It wont be as fun without JAB losing his mind over the MVP selections but if they could draw St Johns or Uconn or say MIchigan then have Sienna and NIagra and teams like that might be a big money maker now.

SU loses a significant amount of money with every home game not played. It is not as much as it used to be given the number of season tickets is down but losing revenue now is tough.

Playing a significantly harder OOC schedule is also extremely questionable when trying to get back to the NCAA tournament.

I am assuming SU is going to ‘give’ some of the revenue from these OOC games to the players, to help replace the revenue they were supposed to get from Vegas. Might well be wrong but that is what I am thinking.

maybe a better idea would be to have just New york based teams and Rotate with MSG and have some state sponsors and call it the NY Classic , get NIL sponsors that way?

If there is NIL $$ involved then it has to be neutral I believe as otherwise it’s not an “ event” just a regular road or home game etc.

At least that’s how I understand it but other’s correct me if im wrong here..

If that's the case, we should be making two-year commitments with programs like Indiana. This year neutral near them, next year neutral in NY.

I really wish it was in Assembly Hall, but my whole family will be there for the gainbridge game, absolutely cannot wait. That is a phenomenal stadium to see a game, no bad seats.

I also have years of bragging rights at stake, so Gerry better get it done.
