2026 Bracketology

OSU does get JHU at home this coming weekend and their lacrosse stadium is a nice homefield advantage. Rutgers at Maryland is another Big one this weekend.

Penn State is looking pretty good, but one does wonder how the selection committee will count the 2 bad losses to #25 Navy and #34 Villanova. If PSU loses their final regular season game at Rutgers, it would seem throw them on the bubble.

I've been concerned whether we'd make the ACCT (still am a bit) but then I realized for that to happen at least Duke has to win 2 ACC games. If we don't win another ACC game and Duke wins one we own the tie-breaker with them. And if we make the ACCT, whether we win a game may not matter as much as an additional boost to our RPI.

Duke losing yesterday while not great for our win vs them is huge for the acc tournament. Duke has to win out and SU lose out to miss the tourney.

It's nice seeing Maryland in the bubble in group. Although I think the distance between them and many of the teams in the bubble out group is rather small. For any of these teams winning more games is key.

I think his chart is a little deceptive in one regard, that being listing High Point as the A-10 champion and throwing Richmond into the at-large group. High Point is currently 4-0 in the A-10 while Richmond it 3-0, but I would expect Richmond to win that league. This would add one more bubble-in team, perhaps Cornell.
