2026 Lax Pick 'em: Week 0

At this point I think its best we just scrap this week and restart next week. Maybe we can pick an extra game for a few weeks to catch back up but this is a mess with people needing extra games and gems being played in weird indoor spots and Shutt isn't getting paid nearly enough to do deal with this. If anyone disagrees let me know

Here's my thought. We scrap this week and for the next four weeks we pick 5 games vs 4, that will make up for the 4 games missing from week 0. I know someone will inevitably go 4-0 this week and feel like Bees has pulled the moderator card but its become such a mess I think there's only about 5 games to choose from at this point and having to hope for a good result on Monday at Noon in 20 degree weather in front of 8 fans at Hop isnt fun for anyone.. Again if anyone vehemently disagrees let me know and if need be we can certainly push forward.

One thing, if you don’t update your picks if a game gets canceled, that’s on you. Shutt doesn’t have to remind people or tell them. With all the information at our fingertips it should be easy enough to find out if a game is canceled or not.

my preference is the week is played. everybody took the time out to figure what they wanted to "bet". should be able to figure with the help on here what games are playing or not.

Not trying to make this difficult for Laxfanshutt but what if we use it like a "Wildcard" week and you can sub it in for one other week later in the year (before NCAAs)?

I am sure there will be some point where I get busy, am away, forget to get my picks in. This could be used to replace such a week.

At this point with there being a split on what to do we will keep things as is.

IF YOU DONT HAVE 4 GAMES BECAUSE OF A CANCELATION GET YOUR CHANGES IN FOR THIS WEEK ASAP. There are multiple games Mon and even a game Tuesday if needed. No make up games will be given next week.

Due to the chaos of this week I will work with Shutt to see about doing a special one off of 5 games next week so everyone gets an extra pick with hopefully a full schedule.

I wanted to take Richmond and UNC this week, but alas. For some reason I just liked Delaware when the lines came out--no logic involved whatsoever. Rutgers beat BU 17-11 in scrimmage a week ago, yeah pre-season scrimmage caveat and all, Jacksonville is not as good as BU. Colgate lost a lot and Penn State will dominate face-offs. I believe the Orange win this one going away. I don't think BU has the depth to expose the Orange's weaknesses.
