Day 1 Texas Children's Houston. Playing the late Thursday / Early Friday schedule Kevin Roy shoots a very good 67 for -3 and T11 in round 1. Leader is brit Paul Waring -7. Keep climbing and punch that ticket to Augusta!

Roy follows up with a shakey potatoes Friday round of a +1 total 71 for a two day total of -2. The projected cut is -1 so he should be fine for the weekend.

Had Nicolai tickets but if he has to lose to anyone you'd pick Gary. Dude's athleticism at 41 and after what he's dealt with is insane.

Water finds its level. It's great he's making cuts. I am not sure that course suited him particularly well. While he's long enough, that course lends itself to the big hitters (see comment above). Knapp and Gotterup also in the top 6.
