verbally committing for lax does not prevent a kid from getting a football offer later on...we see that happen all the time...how many recruits have maryland and ohio state alone lost to d1 fball programs in the last few years...has to be close to a dozen
a ton of mad dog and west coast starz kids get ranked every single year
they will always miss some but they do a much better job of covering the west coast and non hotbed areas nowadays...tons of texas and florida representation in the top 100...
No, I’m talking your freak athletes who skill wise won’t get the scholarship offers they think they will and are still dreaming of making it to the NFL (sophomore year) and then commit 100% lax late junior year or senior year. My point being there is an uptick in AMOUNT of talent coming from that region the next few years will be like when TX, NC, FL arrived to the scene in the same way. Coaches with professional experience are flocking to the private schools there.
Wait until you see some of these 30/31/32 kids from that region who are on par with the bigger programs they play from the East.
I know the D1 AC’s come out to some bigger Adrenaline events, but the kids I’m talking about don’t do fall ball with football season priorities for example. No way for them to be evaluated outside of the 3-4mo summer circuit.
The same kids Lars came out and said have higher ceilings in college because they haven’t hit past 50-75% of their potential yet due to those other factors.
Saying this all from first hand experience, and knowing the recruitment circuit out west pretty intimately.
