2026 Recruiting

verbally committing for lax does not prevent a kid from getting a football offer later on...we see that happen all the time...how many recruits have maryland and ohio state alone lost to d1 fball programs in the last few years...has to be close to a dozen

a ton of mad dog and west coast starz kids get ranked every single year

they will always miss some but they do a much better job of covering the west coast and non hotbed areas nowadays...tons of texas and florida representation in the top 100...

No, I’m talking your freak athletes who skill wise won’t get the scholarship offers they think they will and are still dreaming of making it to the NFL (sophomore year) and then commit 100% lax late junior year or senior year. My point being there is an uptick in AMOUNT of talent coming from that region the next few years will be like when TX, NC, FL arrived to the scene in the same way. Coaches with professional experience are flocking to the private schools there.

Wait until you see some of these 30/31/32 kids from that region who are on par with the bigger programs they play from the East.

I know the D1 AC’s come out to some bigger Adrenaline events, but the kids I’m talking about don’t do fall ball with football season priorities for example. No way for them to be evaluated outside of the 3-4mo summer circuit.

The same kids Lars came out and said have higher ceilings in college because they haven’t hit past 50-75% of their potential yet due to those other factors.

Saying this all from first hand experience, and knowing the recruitment circuit out west pretty intimately.

A trio of commits happening now.

No 71. Dylan Novak (D, Malvern Prep) to Notre Dame

Luke Valerio (M, Springfield) to Penn State

No. 47 Nick Testa (M, St. Andrew’s) to Hopkins

i was told testa and some of the other florida kids were in the mid-atlantic area visiting schools already this week...u also saw UNC sign guys from texas and tennessee while the kid from seattle signed with duke. i wouldnt be surprised if some of the other nonhotbed guys like ligas and finch make decisions soon to get it out of the way before the schoolyear kicks into high gear...not easy to take cross country trips in the middle of october and a lot of these kids play football too...

So we still at 0?

Correct. So is Virginia for whatever that is worth.

Hoping after the weekend, when more players can take visits, commits start to come in.

Hoping the Georgia Tech game is a sell out. Would be a nice look for football and lax recruits on campus. Fingers crossed a lot of lax kids visiting this weekend as I suspect it’s close to a sell out

Most schools have 1 or none as you noted UVA is one of them. Believe we are about to get a few this weekend, I know SU is hosting a # of recruits and some bigger names are close to deciding.

Close to deciding to visit or to commit?

Great recruiting weekend.. that dome should be rockin!!!!

Not sure if anyone else has watched these, but they are pretty good. Dan Kaplan, especially, is really good at breaking players down and describing what defines them. The big four (James, Peck, Doshna and Rayfield) are all discussed.

Loved what Kaplan had to say about James, ('stalks you into oblivion"), and Peck is the first attackmen they discuss (slick is the defining word there).

Other players that stood, just on the few clips that were shown of highlight videos were Etan Bramoff (LSM, St. Anthony's), Michael McColgan (M, Culver), Adam Ponting (M, Lawrenceville), Noah Han (A - Georgetown Prep - Foy compares his speed to Mike Powell), and some of the defenders who have already committed (AJ Theodorakoros - Army) and the two from St. Sebastian's, George Kelly (Duke), Brian Burke (Harvard). Some absolute huge dudes on the defensive end this year.
