2026 Schedule Tidbits

The game vs penn that’s away is that going to be a franklin field (philly)? Or is the penn/princeton game at one location on diff days ? Only ask cause if at franklin field be sweet as that’s a 25min drive from me. Already going to cuse for uva game but be nice see cuse at home (my home) tho nothing like a game at the dome.

Princeton game is at 1952 Stadium. Penn game is at Franklin Field. No tip times yet.

Princeton game AT Princeton (1952 Stadium)

UPenn game AT UPenn (Frankln Field)

Two separate events.

2026 Near Year's Resolution for the team's defense: not allow one goal ALL season long (that way if you give up 10 all year...well - you get it).

Offense: 20 goals per game MINIMUM. 0 Turnovers.

FOGOs: don't lose one faceoff ALL year.

I'll revisit this in May...but don't think I'm being unreasonable.

You can take the train to Franklin Field from 30th Street station in Philly. Airport line first stop is Penn Medicine stop, exit/cross South Street to Franklin Field.

That's a solid schedule.

Obviously Iona is the clunker but if it wasn't for RPI being a thing I do generally have positive thoughts about big brand teams incorporating newer programs on the schedule.

Playing 4 Ivies, 2 B10, & Army. Towson/JU/HPU should be very winnable games that shouldn't sink RPI too much.

Both PSU and Harvard at neutral sites. Although both games are more convenient for UNC and their fans.
Certainly, more convenient for UNC's team travel wise. A little harder to know about the fans. One might guess that a large part of UNC's lax fans live well north of there. UNC starts Spring break that weekend. PSU's Spring break ends that weekend. Sort of sounds like a nice spring trip for PSU fans living in D.C., Baltimore, or Philly.

iona's kind of indefensible. new programs can cut their teeth on top 20-35 schools if i'm scheduling with how wonky it can get @ nc$$ time.

even though richmond has gotten the better of the hoos a couple times lately, i'm glad they started their program so uva didn't have to play vmi every year (they play an in state team every year, and vmi is now the only other choice).

And I don’t see them finishing better than 7-6. They’ll lose one they shouldn’t and win one they shouldn’t.
theyre going to start 7-1 probably (maybe even 8-0). so they only need to win one acc game to reach 8 wins...which they will because they always beat uva. the problem is 8-5 with this schedule wont be good enough...they prob have to go 10-3 to be a tourney team, either beat cornell and get 2 acc wins between reg season and conf tourney, or if they lose to cornell, then get 3 acc wins. a loss to cornell and then goin 2-3 in the acc (including conf tourney) prob wont do it...

My one worry is they will treat games like ours like it is the super bowl/world series game 7 combined, given how crucial they will be for tourney success. Meanwhile we will have several tough ones before Duke and plenty after them too. Bold strategy putting all their eggs in one basket like this but Duke is not automatically screwed with this schedule. Long list of teams that will have the same or less opportunities against top 10 teams this year if the preseason predictions are roughly correct. Still I have no idea why you make it so extreme and don't schedule a couple more teams that are closer to mid than terrible.

I wonder if Duke will also be criticized by the lacrosse media for having only 3 true away games (2 of which are conference games). Both Providence and Cornell are neutral sites. Playing at home until March 7th.

If I remember correctly Cuse has received plenty of criticism for staying at home in February.

I imagine Duke will not receive the same treatment.
