2026 Schedule

The schedule looks brutal: Cal should be much improved and likely ranked, Notre Dame will be elite, Clemson is attacking the portal hard, SMU will be good, Louisville is bringing back its stars, and North Carolina continues to make real improvements. Pitt is a question mark after losing key impact players, Virginia looks like a long-term contender, and NC State is a complete unknown. For Syracuse to have any real chance at reaching a bowl game next season, the Orange must have a dominant offensive and defensive line, because while the wide receiver room has promising young talent, it’s depleted and lacks meaningful game experience—and that’s why I’m pretty worried overall.

Sure, we should be mad that ACC has screwed us over yet again.

We also should be mad at our AD for allowing the ACC to run us over with a train again.

While the 6 game home slate is a good home slate, many renewed their season tickets under the premise that they would have 7 home games.

This meant the price hike that they saw in the renewal made sense.

Ive now suffered through losing my OG seats to the student section that generally cant fill the section and leaves my seats empty and then went to a "comparable" price area, only to have them raise my seat prices the last three years.

All of that with hardly any recognition or benefit for being a season ticket holder from Syracuse University...

Maybe next time they'll at least give me some Vaseline before they bend me over.

While I am normally critical of SU and it's inability to regularly fill a 7 home game schedule this I give them a pass on. This is 100% an ACC decision and I doubt there was anything Wildhack could have done to prevent it. I was really looking forward to the 7 home game schedule but when the ACC pulls the rug out at the last second it's hard to blame the school especially when we need the ACC a lot more then they need us right now.

Season ticket holders paid a hefty price thinking there was going to be seven games. Wildhack should be sending an email to everyone apologizing for what happened and offering some type of retribution . Perhaps a discount on concessions or something similar. That won’t happen of course

The gave free tickets when they moved the Oitt game to Yankee Stadium. Maybe we see similar. Or maybe to a BBall game lol

2027 could be worse. As of now we have an FCS, BC, Pitt, NC State, FSU, plus one more ACC game. That won’t be Cal, SMU, Louisville, Clemson, VA Tech, GA Tech, Stanford. It is not likely to be Miami, Wake, UVA (2028). Which leaves Duke or UNC.

Is that worth $1700 for 2 A level tickets? If you skipped the FCS and one ACC game, while buying resale for the other 4 games at $150 each (above face), you would save $500. Let’s be honest you could probably get those well under face.

And best thing is if we stink you don’t even have to get tickets to all four games. While a STH is stuck.

And most importantly a QB. But yes the league is getting better. There is going to be a lot more parity moving forward week to week imo. Talent is being spread out more than ever. We have multiple blue chippers for the first time in forever on the roster. The effectiveness of the systems that are run and the culture is going to determine winning games moving forward.

penn state aswell

Big picture: You had to go to 9 league games. Can’t be the only conference without it when it comes to the CFP.

Makes it difficult on the schools who were already under contract. Multiple millions to buy out uconn with remaining games left in the seri e, so we get to keep a Toledo home game doesn’t seem worth it. Sucks but it is what it is.

Overall I’d rather have a quality home schedule than quantity. There’s some really good home games next year.

A Level season ticket prices per game...

2021 $71.43
2022 $92.86
2023 $108.33
2024 $103.57
2025 $125
2026 $141.67

The price in 2021 was a steal. Next year will be twice as much. Even worse when you consider one game each year is an FCS game. Who is happy at a face value of $140 for that?

The prices are getting dangerously close to where it is better to pick and chose a few games vs being a STH. There will be a bump across the board this year because of Notre Dame. But going forward for non parent's weekend ACC games it will be about 90% capacity. Less for G5 games, and roughly 75% for FCS games. There will be seats available. And that isn't even counting the secondary market which in many cases will be under face value.
I mean, let's also not pretend there wasn't a massive renovation in there.

One of the few times where I actually support raising prices. Its still a good value for an A level STH.

And we can't have an OC who just because he finds he doesn't have all the proper pieces for his system quits on the team. By refusing to try anything different.

Again, I am fine raising prices to an extent.

Ive had my price of my season ticket go up for the last three years.

I know that not everyone is in that category as this is the first time prices have gone up for some.

But for others in certain areas of the Dome, we have had the price increase the last three seasons.

All for raising prices, but lets do it unilaterally.

Raising prices 5% every year rather than 15% in one offseason is a much safer play. Renewals would be a disaster if they did the latter.

Please re-read what I stated.

I’ve had my prices go up the last three years. The folks right across the aisle from me, are dealing with their first price increase since the remodel.

My issues isn’t so much the price going up, it’s that my price has gone up 3x already and the guy across the aisle is just having a price increase.

If you’re going to do a price increase, do it for the whole dome. And you are correct 5% over the years is better than 15% at once.

The Price has gone up
The quality of the product took a dump
The game atmosphere has gotten worse
The food quality has gotten worse
The 5G has gotten more stable
The parking has gotten worse

The Dome is prettier

I'm pretty sure that most pro franchises employ this kind of progressive price increases model. They'll hold the line for some sections (e.g. bleachers at a ballpark) while raising prices for premium sections (e.g. field boxes from first base to third base).

I imagine the thought process is that more affluent ticket holders in premium zones can withstand the increase more than ticket holders in lower priced areas.

I think the 7 game vs. 6 game complaint is valid, however. Paying the same price for 14% less product isn't cool.

I'm farrrr less sympathetic to the complaints about home schedule "quality". Nature of any sport is that some years are going to be more compelling than others, schedule-wise. Ultimately you buy tickets to see Syracuse.

Need to look at the data. Makes no sense to raise prices where you are seeing poor sell through. Conversely if you are raising prices it makes sense to focus on the sections that are selling through at the highest rates.
You’re a victim of your own celebrity. Who wouldn’t agree to pay more to sit near JR! 😀

I think it is fair to say that we should never have the attitude of "this year will be tough, but next year will be our year." Next year is never going to be the same roster, so our team will always be an unknown. Next year's opponents are completely unknown also. It is a 1-year world.
