2026 Schedule

Great stuff!

I assumed weekend of 9/11 would be a lock for a home game.
I assume Cuse will get 2 in Sept, Oct and Nov. I do like your thought though and the schedule says this. I did some checking. We either have to have bye or host Cal Saturday night the second week. It appears all other teams are a no go.

2026 through 2029 is a 1 bye year.

My best guess of a bad schedule

Sept 5 New Hampshire
Sept 12 Cal (night game)
Sept 19 @ Pitt
Sept 26 @ UNC
Oct 3rd @ UConn
Oct 10/11 Louisville
Oct 17 Bye
Oct 23/24 SMU (or Thurs if SMU has bye Oct 17)
Oct 31 @ BC
Nov 7 Clemson
Nov 14 @ UVA
Nov 21 @ NCSt
Nov 28 Notre Dame

Based on history we will have 3 out of 4 at home at some point and one month where we only have one home game. The schedule rarely makes sense.

We have no real rivalry with Pitt
At any rate, playing a “rivalry” game Thanksgiving weekend, with no students. generally awful weather for tailgating or sitting in an open air stadium, and one or both teams often with nothing to play for makes no sense. Make Rivalry Weekend in the ACC the first full week of conference games. Boston in early September is a much better trip than sitting on ice covered aluminum bleachers in a dead stadium

I’d hate that. I have a wedding on the 12th, which I initially was happy about being on a Friday instead of a Saturday, but we love being schedule in those crappy games.

Friends and relatives should never get married during Football Season...the audacity!
Had a niece and nephew both get married during the season in 2017. Our niece’s wedding was the day of the home game against Pitt, a thriller that represents the last time Cuse beat Pitt in the Dome. Nephew got married in early December where basketball team was off. Nephew got an extra dollar in his card in appreciation for his consideration!

Well, he's a Michigan fan, so he knew that they certainly wouldn't be playing on a Friday night. If it was a Saturday wedding, I'd agree.

Here is mine…

I think a date in Pittsburgh early in the season is going be be reserved for a long time ACC school from the south. I hope we get it but doubt we will.

When we host Clemson, the game always seems to be played in the first half of the season. Good chance it is a night game.

Anyway here is my best guess. Did not take time to verify all matchups are even possible.

Sept 5 NEW HAMPSHIRE
Sept 12 CALIFORNIA
Sept 19 CLEMSON
Sept 26 Virginia
Oct 3 UConn
Oct 10 Bye
Oct 16 LOUISVILLE (Friday game)
Oct 24 SMU
Oct 31 NC State
Nov 7 Boston College
Nov 14 Pittsburgh
Nov 21 North Carolina
Nov 28 NOTRE DAME

I hope we play 2 home games each month. If it has ever happened, it is a rare thing. Since we got boned and had to convert a OOC home game to a tough away conference game, perhaps the ACC will throw us a small bone here?
