2026 Schedule

yea, normally they give the thursday teams a bye going into it...but guess a bye that early is even worse. pitt is playing UCF the week before.
Yeah I was wondering if they had a cupcake, but a power conference opponent makes it more fair. Though California > UCF. I’m very high on California. Like I think they will be the second toughest team behind Notre Dame that we play at home.

I was just going by what the ACC network said. but It says 6. I just cant add any more. They used a different font to mess with my eyes

It says
At LSU
AT Cal
AT FSU
AT SU
AT GT
AT Duke

The short week to prepare for a game at Pitt kinda sucks. The rest of it is just a typical ACC schedule. The conference has some good teams, we gotta play them at some point.

The or's are just the kind of fan-unfriendly bullspit this stupid conference loves to saddle its members with. If we want their gross money we have to bend the knee to dumb crap like that.

If we have any say, we will not want to play at home on Halloween ever again.

It would be extremely unfair if the ACC asks Syracuse to play at home on Halloween two years in a row.
Last season was a bust and it had more to do with the product on the field. If Angeli was healthy and the team had a pulse, it would’ve been seen as a great thing to play on Halloween.

My wife's cousin is getting married Labor Day Weekend in Lake Placid. I broke out into a cold sweat because that weekend is sacred to me where literally all I do is gorge myself on college football. My wife and her sister decided they will just go up there the two of them as a sisters weekend bonding thing. I told her "Yes I mean I guess that's fine. I will miss being there." When in reality I was having Mardi Gras inside my brain.

There are some nice or at least fair scheduling setups for us.

A lot of teams have a decently hard game the week before they play us. Only 1 team has extra rest and it’s 1 day. It’s also a weird scheduling oddity that we play 3 teams the week after they play Florida State, so let’s hope year 2 of Tony White has a real physical defense.
Cal - UCLA
Pitt - UCF
Virginia - at Florida State
Louisville - Florida State (but Friday so extra day)
Carolina - at Duke
SMU - Cal
Clemson - at Florida State
NC State - Duke
Boston College - at Notre Dame
Notre Dame - SMU

I like playing Pitt early. Can see the Pirates play (they play the Brewers Thursday night and Royals over the weekend). More importantly, Pitt has struggled early and lost their long time DC.

They are vulnerable,
Didn't they also lose their stud LB to the portal?

Yeah we always lose to them and it’s never an early season game so might as well get them early. And we have a staff that can actually be relied on to gameplan in a short week. Or any length week compared to before, on defense at least

Am I a bad fan for not knowing the schedule was dropping and that I don’t really care?
You’re definitely not a bad fan, but it is very surprising that you wouldn’t be excited about the schedule release considering how analytical you are about our two-deep, roster needs, etc.

So desperately tired of playing Pitt in the middle of the season and fending with catestrophic injury, often the QB. It’s also been a LONG time since we won in the Steel City: 2001. What’s a quarter century between friends? Especially to that gym teacher HC of theirs.

I say this annually, I don’t get why Syracuse fans don’t make this Pitt game more of a priority. If we cannot beat Pitt and BC, we don’t stand much of a chance with the OOC or rest of the ACC. Make Pitt a fruggin priority and assert ourselves as the best program in the Northeast. Set that as the foundation and build from there.

Nope. The schedule is the schedule. If you don’t need to make advance plans to attend a game it really doesn’t matter if you know what it is today or in late August.

Lol
I’m usually optimistic but Cal UVA and SMU are all good. A lot of unknowns for us coming off a 3 win season.

win: UNH
Should win but can’t chalk it up: UConn, UNC, and BC
Toss ups: UVA, SMU, Louisville, NCST, cal, Pitt
Probably lose: Clemson
Loss: ND

Well this schedule basically means no trip to Syracuse for me this season. September 12 game interfers with Rosh Hashanah. I could come Labor Day for UNH, but really would have perferred coming then for 2 home games. Also conflicts with going to Toronto to visit my son in the summer. Considered Clemson, but the hotels I would stay at are booked and I tried immediately. I can get into Marriott downtown for Saturday night, but not Friday night. I'm still considering that weekend so I can also sit in my women's basketball seats which I haven't done in years. But the Skyler would have been the optimal choice. I think SU holds a bunch of the rooms also.

Wow, pirates play at 12:30 the day of the Pitt game. Believe they share parking lots. That’d be a nice day to start the pregame at a day baseball game in Sept. if weather is nice.
