2026 Spring Football Schedule/Spring Game

Ok knit picking here but don’t the players look like they are going 3/4 speed. I thought listening to Coach Brown and then Indiana coach, your supposed make practice harder than games. Seams like lacking hard work. Is it me or what.
Media aren’t in practice for the real football part, usually just beginning drills and warmups (seems that way everywhere, so not an SU thing). That’s why you always see the same drills over and over on Twitter and most importantly why we shouldn’t overreact to 10 second spring practice clips

Encouraging to see Steve's feet movement here. At the least, he'll be able to drop back and throw like he was able to before.

You can definitely still see that he lacks any strength/explosion pushing off of that achilles to move up and run. We'll have to see if/when that ever comes back. But no doubt he can still spin it, might just be with less mobility
He’s only at the point where he’s starting to push off. If anything we don’t want him doing too much yet. He is ahead of where he needs to be.

I had forgotten about Moore until he's been mentioned recently. If he and/or Zamondre can give us a Meeks/Ishmael type presence... look out.

Any word on Outten, Gough or McFadden?
I’ve only been to a few practices and didn’t spend a lot of time focused on them. Folks were speaking highly about Gough from conversations I’ve had.

My early WR predictions are that Cole Weaver and Zamondre Merriweather are the designated starters on the outside. That is two physical receivers and that makes me excited. I think that Cole Weaver and then Elijah Moore are likely getting a bulk of the reps at the big WR spot. Then I'm guessing that Zamondre, Hatcher and Williams will be a good rotation at the other outside WR spot, and i'm going to guess Zamondre wins the most reps of the bunch. The slot WR is likely shared reps between Tyshawn Russell and Boobie who will both be solid. Maybe Darrien Williams also sees some snaps there. But Samuel will need to find some WR snaps somewhere as well. Would love to have Russell in this mix but we will still be very solid at WR. I think Gough probably gets some play but more in garbage time up to 4 games and redshirts, unless they need him for specials too. Not becuase he isn't as talented, just because he is low man on the totem pole and learning still. I think Angeli will spread the ball around quite a bit.
Cole told me personally that he is 6’4.5. Regardless of height he’s lengthy and has incredible hands.
