2026 Spring Practice

Seems like the guys have been "working hard" and "preparing" and we'll "see what happens" when the season starts.

Some "excellent" coach speak from Gait.

Seems like the Princeton/Penn duo was a late add when Duke dropped out. Another curious note regarding the Blue Devils' schedule this year.

No timetable for Cam Ryan's return but "probably" not out for the year.

If someone smarter than me in NIL can decifer Gait's answer around the 8:45 mark - that'd be helpful.

The 6 away games "is what it is".

I feel like that's all the big takeaways from the presser but maybe I missed something.

I know it's the initial PC but zero questions about any freshmen looking good/standing out, who may start at the third pole spot, if Leo will play attack etc. The newhouse guys are brutal at these lax PC's.
My favorite thing about Gait might be his almost open dislike of dumb questions. He can barely hide his impatience with some of these.

bad questions but gait also did not seem interested in answering anything about personnel...he was asked a clear question about lefty attack and his answer was basically "we have options, you'll see"...

so i dont blame the reporters for not asking many similar questions after that...

The players know.

Spallina said his teammate Figueiras and him have developed through matchups at practice over the years. Spallina, who plays attack, has received many honors ahead of the season including being named the USAL Division I Men’s Preseason Player of the Year. He said Figueiras play as a defenseman has gone unnoticed.
“I don't think [Figueiras] gets enough credit for just how good that he is,” Spallina said. “They have all these rankings and preseason stuff, and for him not to be on any of it is ridiculous.”
