2026 Spring Practice

Man i gotta say tho i haven’t used gaits heads much , have use recon xl , oringinal torq n the first newer version of torq (with wings). They really have some sticks at first look “What”. I am curious how their D heads really are since look crazy n odd. Also wonder if the weirdness of shape of D heads effect guys gbs or anything at all. I just never seem to wanna get away from the lakota or dna.

Sorry one pick of the D head just made me think of the oddness n if really any actual benefits to them. Specially since that’s what cuse has to use. Or is nike still technically sponsor but most just use gait ?

Do the Orange have a scrimmage this weekend? I know they have one the following weekend against Hobart, but usually there are two weekends of scrimmages in the "Spring".

Also, what are people's predictions for this season? Fool's gold obviously but what else are we doing on here?

To me, the Orange should be favored against the following teams: Boston University (h), St Joe's (h), Harvard (a), Penn (a), Hopkins (a), Air Force (a), Denver (a), Duke (h), UVA (h), Colgate (h), Notre Dame (a)

I think they should not be favored against: Maryland (h), Princeton (a)

The following games are tossups to me: Georgetown (h) and UNC (a).

So that would leave the Orange with a record of 12-3 if you split the tossup games. That would obviously be really impressive, against such a tough schedule. Also, I might give the Orange the edge against UNC and Princeton if those games were home, FWIW.

There are of course a ton of caveats. So many road games in a row might take it's toll on the Orange and they could slip up against a team they *should* beat. The ACC might look down as a whole, but these are still teams that have dominated recruiting the last few years, and something might unexpectedly click for say, Duke, Notre Dame or UVA in a way people weren't expecting.

To me the key is beating the teams they are "supposed* to beat. You can falter against other ACC teams to a point I think, but it's really important to not slip up like they did last year against a Harvard, or Denver (tricky on shortish rest and a long road trip). Obviously they need to get quality wins, the more the better, but if they beat the teams they *should*, they will be in good shape. Then of course it's a whole new season when the tournament starts.

What are other people thinking?

Not a whole lot in here that this board hasn't already discussed. I generally like Adam's work - this definitely feels a bit like an outsider just spit balling a bit.

Talks at length about Deere being a key player this season, for what it's worth (might not be much). Wishing him a full recovery like everyone else if the rumblings are true.

so far seems like every picture brett spallina has been in was with short stick. Not sure if means anything but could they have the twins as d mids.

Seem alot of talk bout dillion stevens being possible. Tho i like beck has he’s got good size n on man down he’s look solid. Tho can’t say how him clearing n all ins n outs of close D he is.
