I assume the same people who say guys who commit to programs like Duke, UNC, etc get rated too highly by the services aren't the same people who then point to the # of McDonalds AA and say Roy, K, Cal, etc have underachieved.

Well Coach K and company did talk him into reclassifying - there's that. The rest of the accusations against Duke though was always questionable to me at least from reading about Thornton's situation throughout the year.

I hear ya... I just think it's fairly transparent Thornton was desperately needed this year and not so much next year. If the staff truly valued him for next year/beyond he would not be transferring. And when K's legion of apologists come out family blaming it makes me a little nauseous.
