First and foremost, we have this thread each year to honor our fallen friend and board contributor Calicuse, who passed away on October 7, 2016. Rest in peace Cali.

Like Mikel Jones, the Cali Awards are back baby.
2021/2022 was another brutal year.
Lost to Rutgers by 10
Lost to Florida State by 3
Lost to Wake by 3
Lost to Clemson by 3
Soldiered up for 2 encouraging wins vs BC and VTech, where the fanbase thought perhaps we’d turn the corner. But then came the fatigue, and with that the late season owwies. Just like that the train went off the tracks and we missed the postseason again.
We all knew what happened in 2021 so I wont get into it more. All’s I’ll say further is look at the 2017 season’s scored then look at 2021.
Looks oddly similar doesnt it. Even substituting cigar boy for shady fits well enough.
In 2022, like 2018, we return a warrior of a QB and a veteran laden team. I actually like our defense more this year than 2018’s, though Chris Slayton certainly isn’t coming out of the tunnel for us this year.
2018 had heisman campaign dreamer Eric Dungey. 2022 has Heisman should-be Sean Tucker.
But, 2018 also had a weakened ACC where 2022 has 5 ranked teams on the schedule. 5. That is brutal.
How do you think this team will do?
