8 games to find 3 wins

Think we beat, USF, UVA, PITT, give Clemson a game and think it will be a lot closer than people think, and we beat BC. I think this team wins anywhere between 7-9 games before a bowl. Anyone can obviously disagree but this team has shown me no reason not to believe that's the potential of this team.

We need to stop asking how to get to six. If we win our next three, I want a 9 win season and I'm not joking (grabbing a win in the bowl). If ED, Erv and Ish are all healthy, this team should absolutely be expected to get to six regular season wins as the bottom of the threshold. I don't know how anyone can have watched the teams on our schedule, plus the injuries that some of them got hit with, and think that we should eek out only six wins. The bar has to be set higher.

Naw. Let's leave the bar where it is and enjoy the ride.

how will they do it kids??

can they make this painless and do it in the next 3??

it would be nice if they did because that schedule 3 headed monster will a rough go and id prefer to not be in a 2 games searching for 1W or worse scenario.

bc looked decent v fla st, but what is ncstates deal?? how are they 4-0??
They beat a team 38-14,that Appalachian ST beat 47-0. They have played no-one good.

nit state is getting 10 votes in the AP poll this week to. pays to play no one and win them. perception. even saw a blurb in an espn article about the wolfpack tending up or something like that.

without a 'signature loss' how will we know how good they are?? ;)

seriously, im with you on that pitt thing.

5-1 & h v pitt??? damn...

that would be as must see a game as they have played in over 20 years.

it would be something if they move it to 7 or later...

If a Pitt game is moved to night, they'll also have to move the day.

Death, Taxes, SU-Pitt Saturday game being Noon (Big East) or Noon:30 (ACC).

Ironically, the only time we have beat them since 2001 was the one time it wasn't a Saturday Noon game... Friday night in 2012.

There is absolutely no reason we can't get 3 more wins. After what we saw vs LSU, 2nd half vs WF, and 1st half vs CMU, it would be a total disaster not to get 3 more wins. I actually think we can get 3 wins in the next 3.

UVA is a mess again. London just isn't a good HC.

USF is still in rebuild mold. Freshman QB.

Pitt at home without Connors, and not sure the status of Voytik. Might actually favor them if they just throw it up to Boyd the whole game, and Pitt usually gives us problems, but at worst it's a toss up.

FSU and Clemson are most likely losses, even though we should at very worst be competitive.

Louisville is on the road so makes it tough, but if Lamar Jackson is the QB it takes away their threat through the air, making them very 1 dimensional. They aren't anywhere near where they were expected to be. That's a winnable game.

NCST hasn't played anyone, but Brissett scares me a bit. Who knows how good they are until they actually play somebody though. At worst it's a winnable game.

BC at home will be a dogfight like usual. No QB, and will look to run it down our throats, which is obviously a strength of ours. Match up wise it's in our favor.

It should be more like how don't we get to 6 wins with the rest of our schedule.

Agree with pretty much all of this. It was announced today that BC also lost starting RB Jonathon Hilliman though. I'm expecting a win against them.

Glad you mentioned Louisville. Before the season started, I chalked that one up as an L but I really think our defense vs. their QB(s) makes it a much closer match up.

Need to win 2 out of the next 3 and we can all feel good about the year as there will be nothing but upside.

1 game to find 1 win. That's where our focus needs to be. We CAN win every game left on our schedule but we COULD also lose them all.

I agree with that for the team, but we're just fans. Our focus has no outcome on the game. If it did, LSU would lose every game since their fans are too intoxicated to actually comprehend whats happening. :D

I never want to schedule like that in a million freaking years. I will never trade the dignity of the program for 4-0 non-conference.

Indiana is 4-0 w/ wins over So. Ill, FIU, WKU, and Wake...and they were in the running to host Gameday and oh by the way they got Top 25 votes this week. Just saying.

Were they really in the running? With Georgia/Bama, Ole Miss/Florida, Oklahoma/West Virginia, Clemson/Notre Dame?

We got better publicity nationally and with the local fans on Saturday playing LSU close than we would have playing a cupcake with 24k in the dome.

The articles on ESPN were all very positive about how we played and how we were in the whole game with a 5th string QB. The power rankings have us at 8th and actually talked about us "Making noise" in the conference. Then you see NC State who I believe is 6th and all they talk about is how they haven't played anyone.

The 3 lower tier opponents and one Power 5 opponent is fine. Also losing to LSU is not what will cost us a bowl game, its making sure we win the games we can win, USF, UVA, and BC come to mind this season as very winnable games, losing games like those is what will cost us post season, not playing the number 8 team in the nation close when fans and recruits saw it on National TV

I can't believe the NCAA let them just play some guy named Troy. And further, I can't believe that Troy scored 21 on them. Maybe we should recruit him.
heck I feel bad for That dude named Howard. It's just not fair that BC could line up 11 guys versus just him. He didn't even score to boot.

From what I heard, they were 2nd choice after Clemson/ND.
