I remember thinking that JB seemed awfully calm during the came, especially compared to the SC coach. On TV it looked like that every time JB took a guy out, he didn't really yell at them but calmly pointed out something. Except late when he seemed angry at FH but still nothing like what we have seen in the pass. Now the SC coach seemed to be yelling all the time.

In the game thread I called him out on smiling while admonishing a player! It felt like this was the "bizarro world" episode of Seinf***, where there were characters doing the opposite of normal.

JB is a vet. He knows this is EXACTLY what this team and after every game he's said that this team will take time to gel. It sucks right now, but I think by January this team will turn the corner and we will see what we can be.
You're right, the team does need time to gel but often times JB, with his win now attitude, most of the time doesn't appear to be so patient. I can't remember him playing 9 in a game of this caliber before.

Good point. I think deep down JB sees the promise and potential in this team and isn't going to be quick to overreact to a game in November. I hope at least!

We knew we wouldn't be a great team early, with all of the new players, not sure I expected to lose to sc, more disappointed that we played so poorly.

Wow, that lady had a dumb question about the "atmosphere" being a problem, and Boeheim let her know it was a home game. Wow, DC getting called out, saying Lydon is the best center...started with offenively, then switched his language to best center, period. Sounds like we may see him at 5 and more AW3 at the 3. Robey called out too. Boeheim said Battle looked lost out there. I guess he did say all of it calmly though!

Yeah, maybe the fan base should take their cues from the HOF coach. South Carolina will be the second best team in the SEC and they will beat Kentucky at least once. You guys won't feel as bad about this loss in March.

It will be a "quality loss" that will help boost our RPI more than actual wins the usual cupcakes some of us get giddy about beating. ;) I think we had a thread dedicated to that last night.

At best, I still think Florida and possibly A&M are better.

Folks, this loss has put me in bad guy wrestler mode again(of course thats in another forum now, so you probably didnt get to see it this morning lol).

You may be right, too early to tell though in my opinion. I mean we could be the 7th best team in the ACC without some major improvement.

Dammit, I've been railing on bigotry all day...he's a Cuban, and not Mark, so you cant say that dammit!!
Holy Cow! I did not know that! Frank Martin is officially awesome! In other news , the sky is not falling.

Lydon is unquestionably our best C option - especially on offense. The main issue with him at C is he will be more subject to fouls and take more of a beating. Ironically the first 5-6 minutes of the game I thought DC was playing the best out of any of our guys.

Yeah, the announcers talked about his family for a moment, I wasnt aware of it either, but I already was tired of all of the cheap shots at him for simply getting mad. Actually, regardless of his background and whether or not that's like being Irish or Italian(i once had a girlfriend who had both of those as her background, so Im allowed to talk about those! i think lol), I think he's a very good coach and whatever methods he chooses are ok with me, as long as he doesn't lay hands on a player.

I think the howard gillon white lineup had the most scoring potential due to their bounce and 4 three point shooters with lydon at the 4. Problem is chuckwu isn't the lockdown center in that lineup for long minutes to keep lydon at pf. I think Dajuan was in the game with them instead. If this continues we might want to run battle with some minutes as a pg, let him learn to dribble into open space more like our other three guards, if hes ready to. In the longrun it could help his jumpshot and his drive as the year goes on.

The minute we took our centers out, and put lydon thompson out there at the 4 and the 5, south carolina took our 5 point lead and extended it to 11 very quickly. And that wasn't the first time that has happened this season.

Agreed, maybe after this election cycle he decided to start training for politics? His transformation was quick and amazing, I'm wondering if it's a body double and what happened with the real JB?!
