A radical thought

Maybe we just had a bad game. It was close . A couple dropped passes and the horrid , unexplainable officiating is all it took.
Agreed. A bad game. Close game. some bad officiating. All legit excuses.

If this was 2001, we'd refer to this as a What Pasqualoni game. However Paul would win 3-5 other games a year vs real teams. Dino is 3-17 in his last 20 right? Not sure there is benefit of the doubt anymore especially at home against a rival like this.

So yes, may be an abberation on our way to a 1 loss season. But cue the definition of insanity

Yeah, but when you have looked pitiful since 2019, we just don’t believe it anymore.
That’s ok, I’m just putting it out there, in all the threads I haven’t seen that angle.

I can’t give Dino that benefit anymore

He’s proven to me time and time again that this is his team and this what they do and it’s just not very good.

Dino wanted a massive contract coming after that 2018 season and wanted to ride it to the west coast.

Everything came off the rails in 2019 and now he’s riding his buyout to be a coordinator on the west coast all on the dime of Syracuse.

Whoa , I was thinking beat Albany , and beat Liberty , the ACC is no SEC, I’ll say 6-6 is not impossible. ( maybe I am a complete nut job for thinking that but I still think it’s a possibility )

Belief without evidence made sense when he hadn’t coached a game yet. We have plenty of evidence now.

The article below wasn’t written this year. It was near the end of the 2019 season. Last year was 1-10.

Liberty isn't happening. This team will lose by 3 TDs to Liberty. They are so much better than Rutgers its not even funny. I predicted a 3-0 start to be followed by a loss to Liberty. I am way much more confident that we don't win that game than when I made that pick.

Yeah I don’t see how we get more than 2 wins this year.

And I’m not just saying that because I’m down about this game.

Rutgers is bad. They played TERRIBLE on Saturday and we still lost to them.

We should beat Albany 60-0…I bet the score ends up more like 24-10

That’s wrong, As I posted before , go after his coaching ability but nothing he has ever done give me reason to question his integrity.

That’s not questioning his integrity…

Look at his track record recently.

He punted..down 10…with 8? Minutes left.

he quit that game

he quit during the Pitt game.

He doesn’t have the motivation to be in Cuse anymore. He doesn’t want to be here at this point. Body language, things he says. He just has lost interest in being the coach for Syracuse in my opinion

Well we did score one more point than Duquesne did against Ohio and the Dukes are an FCS team. So color me unimpressed with our offensive performance in two games.
Are we going to play that game, ok , Rutgers scored 60 against Temple that has actually been pretty good in recent years so by that I am saying we have the greatest D in the country since Rutgers drove the field for 0 points.

ThTs BS nothing but speculation on your part not fact based.

It’s also really frustrating watching a certain player on defense post highlights of the game and now putting a highlight up that he received a penalty asking if “should have the been a flag?”

You are appreciated.

Liberty isn't anything more than an average so I won't be counting that one as a loss unless we come out flat

Actually I’m not a big believer in using transitive property an indicator of whom we can or can’t beat. I do believe that you can make some comparisons on relative strengths and weaknesses based on this however . My point was that Ohio was beaten by an FCS team at home and it appears Ohio is not very good. Our offense against Ohio was not all that impressive outside of Tucker and we only managed to score one more point against Ohio than an FCS team did. I wouldn’t say that we just had a bad game against Rutgers. We are now in year three of an abysmal level of offensive performance. This isn’t injury related, pandemic related or whatever other excuse people want to use to rationize bottom level P5 performance. Our offense stinks and change is needed or the results will continue to be what they have been for 2+ years.
