Going to BC

How about good hotels near the stadium. Going with wife, son, daughter in law and 2 year old granddaughter. Would rather be near the stadium than downtown.

I always stay at the AC Hotel in Cleveland Circle for basketball games and seems a lot of Cuse fans do also.

Right by Cityside Tavern, Eagles Deli, Circle Pizza that others have mentioned.

and the 15 or so min walk around the reservoir is pretty if it's comfortable out.

First time going to BC (live in Connecticut now). We're taking the T from Riverside (little tailgate there) then Cityside Tavern for some drinks then making the walk over. Between parking costs and lack of tailgate spots, just doing the cheap way. LGOTa
This is my first time going as well and I also planned to take the T from Riverside. From what I have been able to gather from the Mass Transit website that section of the T will be closed this weekend for track work. Looks like they are replacing it with a bus ride that will take considerably more time :(

Has anyone who has attended a BC game in the past ever parked at the Wegmans or the mall near there and walked up to campus. I am going to the game with my two adult sons and we don't mind a longer walk. Just wondering if there are any unforseen issues with this plan?

Holy smokes, parking is worse than usual. What is everyone doing??

it's a longer walk for sure but do-able. The outdoor mall there has plenty of nice restaurants and stores. Certainly a good option on a nice day.

Thanks - that's what I was hoping to hear! Looks like the walk up the Hammond Park Trail would be the nicest and shortest way to go?

Won't C Branch work?

The chatter around the town is that BC should and will win this game. Nobody respects this Orange team

Make it a funeral mass for them Sunday.
Chatter around town at the BC Club? Maybe at Charles River CC among the BC powerbrokers or Brae Burn.

Game is barely registering on tv, radio, social media, etc.

I think BC needs the game more than SU so that would be a reason. I expect us to win and win big.

I bought parking thru BC yesterday. I see it’s sold out today. Wow

BC has scored 30 once all yr. without big plays they dont move the ball

Dont gift them short fields and easy pts

On the flip side only UL and VT scored over 30

UL had 3 TOs and almost lose
MST had 4 TOs and lost
VT had 3 TOs
WKent had 3 TOs

thats how they try to stay on all these games with an offense that struggles outside big plays

Hopefully you told Kyle to be careful with his passes. ;)

Tickets tripled since yesterday on secondary sites looks like a big last minute rush and won't be able to sit wherever.

That's a bummer! We decided to use the app SpotHero to rent somebody's parking space, then will Uber our way over. The BC parking situation is a nightmare.

Cityside Tavern is the official designated watering hole for the Greater Boston Alumni Association for this game.

Anyone and everyone that is attending the game, please join us there. I believe they will be opening their doors at 9 AM.

Checked the tavern website and it said 10 am on Saturdays (wouldn't be surprised if this changed on gamedays). If anyone sees an orange Reyes jersey and a mimosa tower in front of them come say hello

They are opening at 9 tomorrow for the game.

Ouch. Thanks for the heads up. Meanwhile I got an email from BC saying:

Overflow parking is available at the Chestnut Hill Mall. Shuttle buses will run from the mall to Alumni Stadium starting three hours prior to kickoff.

Never heard of this before. Doesn't say there is a fee but given the shuttle, probably not free.

The City of Boston is fun. Chestnut Hill is like going to the suburbs - like the Westchester of greater Boston - to see a game.
Yeah green line so miserable.

I'm giving it 145 from North station tomorrow. So slow.

Pumped for the game though! Frannies High flying McCords!!

Parking is an issue at BC, so I would suggest the T. Ubers are a problem after the game unless you walk away from the campus. Tailgating is possible on campus as you can just bring your stuff on campus and find a spot to tailgate, but you can't park there. Basically you need to bring cold food (tough to bring a grill when you are walking) and drinks and be able to dispose of everything before the game.

I need to get out of the house all the women are mad at me for who I voted for.

Should be an excellent afternoon watching Kyle light up BC!

Stack the box. Make them beat us with quick throws, not big plays.

I hope not to see a 3 man rush and Castellanos making big plays as a result.
