Abdul Adams Entering the Draft

I think you're right. If 2020 were one of the 4 seasons he played, he could come back. But he played 4 seasons not counting the Covid year, so I think he's done, regardless.
With the pandemic I’m pretty sure you can just keep going.

I believe he did have a year. He played:
2016 Oklahoma
2017 Oklahoma
He sat out most of 2018 as a transfer but was eligible for the bowl game because he met the year in residency requirement after the semester ended and it would be fewer than 4 games.

2019 SU
2020 Sat out
2021 SU
2022 I think he gets a redo of the COVID year he sat out if he wants.
He’s played almost as long as those Georgetown basketball players seemed to have played in the 80s and 90s

So if you don’t count the covid year he still played in 16, 17, 19, and 21. That’s 4 years. Still confused.

I'm taking a wild guess here.

Everyone who played in 2020 got a do-over year, and became "6 to play 5".

That's why Rhino will be playing his 5th year in 2022: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 (redshirt), and 2022.

Maybe because AA "opted out" in 2020 he still gets to play the full 5?
2016, 2017, 2018 (redshirt), 2019, 2021, 2022?

Opting out due to Covid paused his clock?

I thought '20 was supposed to be his last year..? (moved to this year) Did he RS? Seems if he had another year, the best choice would be to find another opportunity. Most starting RB's in the country would sit behind Tucker, So hopefully he can get an NFL camp opportunity.

That’s how I interpreted the rule in my response:

Was there a choice? I’ve lost track with AA.
OT: When I was 26 (late 90s), I decided to declare for the NBA Draft, citing my barely played/not really career in D3. To be clear, I sucked.

I actually got a call back from Rod Thorn who was at the NBA at the time. He was a little bewildered, but ruled that I was technically a free agent after a five-minute conversation.

Man the things you could have fun with before all this wackadoo social medias level set everything...

That's awesome.

Correct he is 24. Agree that as much as I loved college, when all your friends and classmates have moved on with life, it's hard not to want to do the same.

I wish him luck. Maybe he'll get invited to a camp after the draft.

Not playing last year changed the career trajectory of Tucker as well as Adams. I hope for his sake he isn’t our Wally Pip. He’s obviously very talented. Hopefully he can get on a roster and finally get some run.
