AC For Dome

They had to put AC in there. The amount of money the school is putting up to get this done they need to recoup down the road. How to you recoup it...you make it a venue that is more than just college football, basketball, and lacrosse. You make it attractive to concerts, big events, and more. And having AC in the dome does that.

Big picture thinking this makes all the sense in the world. It's beyond just the few football games a year that it would be nice to have AC in the Dome. They need to make the facility a multi-purpose stadium that can be used year round, be revenue generating year round for a variety of events. Having AC does that. the Dome needs to be a "money maker" for the school and having AC in there helps do that.

How do you get the ass-blower job on the training staff? Do they draw straws? Is there a waiting list for this duty? How often does this guy get his ass smoked? Is that pain on his face or something else? Why did the guy in red stop and watch? We need answers to these questions and many more to come.
It's the same person that has the "shoot water in the mouth of the athlete through his facemask" job. I just hope that person doesn't get his/her tools of the trade mixed up.

What the are they trying to accomplish here?
It looks like a giant gold bond powder gun. Either that or it's the gun used for marking the field.

Medium sized shows will play at the Lakeview Amphitheater from May-Sept.

The Dome only makes sense for "Springsteen" sized tours. Are there that many huge Summer concert tours left?

This summer Springsteen, Beyonce, Coldplay, Guns N Roses, Kenny Chesney, Paul McCartney, Luke Bryan, AC/DC, and Dead & Company all have done stadium tours. There's probably others I forgot. I imagine even getting a couple of those would be lucrative.

Aside from that, having air conditioning is simply part of a long overdue modernization process. I don't imagine installing it is going to cripple SU's finances.

I think that dude's field has already been marked.

They'll do it because they'll do a whole lot of neat things with the building. But that 20k theatre down the street looks like a nice option.

Besides, Bruce only has about another 25 years or touring shelf life...

Especially if it's "donated"

Agree. But you need to have a venue to compete for those "Springsteen" sized tours. If you build it they will come.

And yes there are those big summer shows still.
