ACC Football Kickoff: July 22-25

Barron is sneaky big. NFL frame and measurables. He will have a shot for sure, not sure if he’s a draft guy or not. Excited to see him show out.
If he runs a 4.6 or better, he's getting drafted, imo

Watched previews of Ga Tech, since that will be an early test. They look like they have a talented dual threat QB who threw for a lot of TDs but had a ton of interceptions, too. Very good RB and 4 returnees on the OL. WRs are not exceptional, but good.

Key to them is their running defense, which was awful last year. They added a couple likely starters on their DL, but lost their best pash rusher. LBs are decent but smallish, even with 3 guys or so from the portal. Average CBs and good safeties.

They open against Fla. State in Ireland. Likely a loss, plus the travel. Some of their delusional fans think they will beat us by 15 on the road. Biggest game early. Win this, and we are off to a very good start.

I honestly feel he was not going 100% and maybe like 50% in the spring game…. He is going to be a nightmare for opposing teams!! So glad he is Orange!!
I didnt think he was either. He is gonna be a monster here and the opposite end is gonna get a chance to make plays. They will have to double him or trap him or whstever works but the other guys will get great oppurtunity to make plays.

Didn’t realize they play FSU before us and away. Will be able to get a sense of who they are quickly. Tough back to back roadies for them for sure. I imagine they are thinking they have to go 1-1 at worst to start the year. Big game for them and us. Glad we’re home.

They have to fly to Ireland to play a very good team, then they don’t even get a bye before they host Georgia State. They certainly should win that game but Georgia State isn’t bad and they get fired up for instate games like that one. Tech also goes to NC and Louisville later in the year and has UGA and ND in OOC. They definitely don’t want to be 1-2. We get them, we are very likely 4-0 going out to Vegas, big game for us for sure

I've watched a few previews for G Tech (and others on our schedule) mostly because I am losing my mind waiting for the start of the FRANchise and I totally agree with your summary.

Also, in 99% of the previews I have watched, we are gettng absolutely overlooked with 6-7 wins being the most common refrain, with no awareness that is what we were doing the past couple years with a 2x harder schedule and 1/2 a QB (would have loved to have seen a season at full strength GS!)

G Tech is decent but we should win that game at home. Home field advantage should be huge for us in that game. King is a pretty good QB but we should definitely have the QB edge. 27 tds with 16 ints for King last year, he turns it over. It’s the biggest game on our schedule in my opinion because it sets us up to potentially be 5-0 going to Raleigh.
