Through 4 games, I believe the ACC has now equaled the amount of wins it had last year in the SEC Challenge.

This year 2-2, and could shortly go to 3-2.
Last year was 2-14 if I remember correctly. (it might have been 1-15 or 3-13)

I did expect it to possibly be close this year. The leagues are far more even this year.

ACC is 22-25 head to head against the P5 conferences (or Q1+Q2 games against mids)
SEC is only 21-26 in those games.

People here are still pissing on the ACC as if it was last year, but entering today they are far ahead of where they were last year.

22-26 vs 20-54 last year
8 top 50 teams (as of now) vs 5
10 top 60 teams vs 5
4 sub 100 NET Teams vs 9

Have 8 top 50 teams, which is only passed by the SEC at 9, and the same as B10 and B12. Now all those other conferences do have more presence in the top 25 though.

More important than anything is that we take care of our own business -- which we did tonight. But if we have to rely on the ACC to get in, its way better off than the last few years.

So many great games on today. So much better watching them after a big win. North Carolina has to take care of business. Looking good so far. And Miami up big at halftime.

Five and five or six and four after the first day will change the narrative of the ACC.

I’m really not a fan of the conference tournaments or the NET rankings.

Mainly because I can’t stand throwing up in my mouth cheering for Duke, Pitt, NC State, etc.

6-3 for the ACC, and 7-3 against P5 for the night.

Regarding the 6-3. the ACC got a bit lucky in that it won 5 games by less than 5 points. It could have been 3-6, 4-5, or 5-4.

But I'm not surprised that the ACC hung with the SEC overall. As per my tracking thread, heading into tonight the SEC winning % in head to headagainst other P5 was actually just a tad lower than the ACC year to date.

ACC up to 5 wins now against the SEC with the Miami and Notre Dame results. Before this competition started I would’ve said 6 wins for the conference would be huge given they only won 2 last year. I think tomorrow’s matchups are much worse for the ACC but if they can win a couple more it would be fantastic.
Looks like SEC are favored in 6 of 7 tonight, although a couple are under three points. If the ACC can win three tonight that would be huge, but anything is a big improvement. That could help long term.

Louisville is getting blown out by Arkansas in the first half, but Mikel Brown just had the nastiest frustration poster dunk. Hurt a guy doing it. Had to stop play.

Clemson and BC hanging in there. Both games are tied. Last night the ACC got the breaks and won the close games (5-0). Will it continue tonight?

Louisville down 12, the one the ACC was probably expecting more likely.

Boston College up 1 with 2:45 to go.

Put it on my radio. Apparently some dumbass on BC got a flagrant foul that screwed them up big time... 6-2 since that point.
