The ESPN box score has Q with 18 pts, 5 assists and 4 TO in 5 mins. How is that even possible.
25 minutes

He seems to have matured and let the game come to him instead of forcing things, and wanting to control the ball. (I watched most of the game) He’s become much more efficient, utilizing his energy to take advantage of situations not forcing to always create them. I don’t think anyone denied his talent, it was his judgement that needed to improve. He’s definitely a good player. Nice to see Chance Westry too, he’s also a good player that we never even really got to see. That SU team had talent but was very young struggling with leadership, locker room issues, in years we were looking for immediate results.Yeah, It'd be nice if we still had Q. NC State's needs to learn how to play defense, though.
I think Q wouldn't get much run on this year's team. Wade is perfect for him.Yeah, It'd be nice if we still had Q. NC State's needs to learn how to play defense, though.
NC State will showcase his talents more, but I think he'd get more run than you'd think. He could play 1-3, and initiate a fast break even when not PG. He'd be a great second string pg, and provide good minutes at the 2 with JJ down. If King and Betsy prove to not be ready yet (I think they'll be fine, but currently our weakest position), he'd slide right in there.I think Q wouldn't get much run on this year's team. There were people here who wanted Council instead of George. Pretty sure we got the better player after seeing him last night.
Sure, but with JJ out he's going to take most of the minutes at the 2. We don't currently have any good backup minutes at the 1 or 2, unless some freshmen develop quickly. Even if Betsey and King hold down the SF position, Copeland would still get 20+ minutes. More, if Kiyan struggles. We have Kiyan also.
Yeah, that would be busy even in 15 minutes... Even if he made 6 out of 6 three point attempts to get those 18 points, that wild be 16 possessions in 5 minutes. 18.75 seconds between events. It would be a he'll if a fun five minutes of basketball to watch! The ESPN box score has Q with 18 pts, 5 assists and 4 TO in 5 mins. How is that even possible.

ESPN was wrong then. 25 minutes for QC.Yeah, that would be busy even in 15 minutes... Even if he made 6 out of 6 three point attempts to get those 18 points, that wild be 16 possessions in 5 minutes. 18.75 seconds between events. It would be a he'll if a fun five minutes of basketball to watch!
Maybe if he drew a bunch of fouls and spent a lot of time at the line, so he could score without running the clock?
It would be a ton of usage for one player. Nobody but him touches the ball on his team. Unless Q passes it to them to get an assist, of course.
Noeklis Avdalas on VT is going to be a problem. Good lord his performance today vs Providence was unreal.

That will be Sadiq's man to guard. How was his defense?That's... Hard to guard.
Heel have some stinkers if he keeps shooting fade away threes off the dribble at a high rate, but scoring 33 in an early season game against a Big East opponent is very impressive.
Nice looking player.

I would say less athletic than Freeman, by a lot, but Avdalas has amazing skill. His body control, dribbling effortlessly with a guy in front and a guy behind, boxing them out with your body until you get an open shot? That's an unteachable skill that some very special players have. Using angles, pacing, body positioning, basketball IQ (I usually hate that term) in place of raw athletic talent to beat your opponents. And Avdalas seems to have a stellar handle as well. On an absolute scale, not "for a big guy" like you could say for Freeman or White.so Donnie but more athletic version?

Reminded me of a recent Euro MVP in the NBA not noted for his athleticism but who is virtually unstoppable on offense.
