I’ll take a look at that Bryant-Clemson game tonight. Bryant has Charlie Pride, formerly of CBA and Liverpool. Charlie led Liverpool to the state championship and has scored 25 pts in both of Bryant’s first 2 games.

ACC looks ripe for the taking. Lots of really average teams.

Syracuse better take care of its own business because the ACC looks weak this year.
It will not be getting the conference bump this year.

So much of the NCAA bracket is dictated by games between November - December 31. By December 31 (actually probably closer to December 10th), you are typically able to make a very good estimate of what conferences will be dominating the top 4 seed lines and the # of seeds... even if you don't know the particular teams. The number of Q1/Q2 win opportunities a conference team will have is dictated in December... not during January /February.

How important is performing well in November and December for a bubble team (hopefully we re not one).
Look at the big 10 ... 3 years ago (4 maybe), Nebraska went 13-5 in conference. But the B10 sucked OOC, and only ended up getting 4 teams in the tourney. The last few years B10 did well in OOC, and they are getting 8-10 teams, 9-10 teams overall, into the tournament.

I'm not sure it results in the best teams making the tournament, but the metrics (essentially the able to get Q1 and Q2 wins) are so sensitive to conference performance at this time of year.

Virginia is physically weak. Not a lot of skilled offensive players. They still play pretty good defense, but are going to struggle to score. Their top three scorers are gone from last year.
