ACC Preseason Football Poll

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Defending national champion Florida State is the consensus choice to repeat as Atlantic Division champion and defeat Miami in the 10th annual Dr Pepper Atlantic Coast Conference Football Championship Game, according to a poll of media members in attendance at the 2014 ACC Football Kickoff at Grandover Resort.

Reigning Heisman Trophy winner and Walter Camp National Player of the Year Jameis Winston, who led the Seminoles to an unbeaten season and their third national title as a redshirt freshman in 2013, was chosen to repeat as ACC Player of the Year.

I don't get how FSU only has 10 points more than Clemson. Coastal is a true cluster. Syracuse at 4th is fair respect. I would go 3rd, but its not bad. Carolina at 4th just shows how close that division is as they are my favorites.

Need to take care of business against the 5, 6 and 7 teams in our division and obviously against Villanova and Central Michigan. Then we've got to get down to swingtown...

Biggest swing games become Louisville (really think we can steal this one on Friday night in the Dome), @ Pitt. Also that Maryland game. That's the difference between the 8 win season that would mean so much to this program right now.

Duke is probably another swing game, let's see if they can duplicate last season's success. Just looks bizarre to see them in a preseason poll ahead of VT, UNC, GT.

Duke won all their swing games last year for the most part, and look what it did for them. It changes peoples outlooks, they received 33 first place votes this year, more then anyone in the costal and 33 more first place votes then they have ever received in preseason poll. Have to start winning, and show the media and people around the country this isn't the Syracuse team of the past 10 years. Duke got very lucky with an easy schedule and winning the toss up games. If we can do that this year, were looking at 8-9 wins.
