ACC schedule

I can't find it online but the local radio guys in South Carolina just read off the whole Clemson schedule for 2013...with 9/14 at Syracuse

If we do play Clemson on the 14th, that means they could not find the opponent they wanted there and there wills be an unhappy staff. They do not want to open like that. I wonder if the ACC gave us a deadline to work this out and wr missed and they are locking the schedule down now.

Bees, sorry but this is what my source has told me and previously stated in thread. The other part of the problem is 'Cuse finding its OCC game...like I said, Louisville is open...but we are not winning any friends in the ACC the longer we drag this out.

This article says a contract is signed. Who knows. But as of Saturday we were not playing Clemson then according to people who make these decisions at SU. If we do, we were strong armed. They were very emphatic.

Bees, i actually hope you are right on this one...because otherwise those first 3 games could either break 'Cuse season or put 'Cuse in line for a major bowl!

Open with PSU, @NW, Clemson.

Insane.
Welcome to head coaching at Syracuse Scott!

Someday we are going to open with a game at home against a bad team.

I have been waiting for that day for what, 15 years or so now? It might just happen in 2014 against Villanova. What a glorious day (more likely night) that will be!

BRING IT ON! What was FSU saying about SOS?

I know HCSS wants the Orange to be hard-nosed, but this may be taking it a bit far right now.

Ridiculous, honestly does anyone up on the hill in charge of scheduling have a clue? Breaking in an entire new passing offense and we open with three high end BCS teams including two on the road/neutral. Idiotic.

Unless your LSU or Alabama opening up with that type of schedule is unheard of. This team could play well and easily be 0-3. How Frazier is still in charge of scheduling football is beyond me, can we please get someone in charge who has a clue.

But at least we'll still have the chance to be the best 0-3 team in the country!

And Nova is hardly a pushover. I'm thinking more along the lines of Dartmouth.

Remember the days when you and I would lament the openers at Wyoming or BYU or NCSt or whomever those teams were? Man, I miss those days. :)

I was being facetious. I agree, too tough an opening for this team with so many unanswered questions. However, the part about FSU still stands. And, nobody will be able to claim HCSS is not hardnosed in scheduling.

I seriously would like to know HCSS' philosophy on scheduling. That will let us know what to ecpect going forward.

We are certifiable Tom. But you know what ever since i was a little kid i love the fact that we play a national schedule. Very tough row to hoe for HCSS but i have a feeling we are going to shock a few teams this year.

Agree, KCSU. I think Clemson is in for an eye opener with the defensive aggressiveness. They are deep and very talented, average to slightly above average game day coaching. At this time, I predict a Clemson win, but a brusing, punishing win where they play soft a couple of weeks later as they are still healing.

If everything is clicking for HCSS and crew, then Syracuse can pull out the upset, but that is really reaching.

If its Clemson it'll be a night game.
