Games this week
Monday
Miami at Notre Dame- SU wants Miami to knock ND off bubble.

Tuesday
BC at NC State- SU wants BC.

Wednesday
Georgia Tech at Virginia- SU wants doesn’t matter.
Clemson at Virginia Tech- SU wants Clemson so we can catch VPI whom we have tiebreaker over
North Carolina at Syracuse- SU wants SU.
Louisville at Duke- SU wants Duke to knock UL down in standings.
Wake at Pitt- SU wants Pitt so they keep Stallings.

Saturday
Louisville at Virginia Tech- doesn’t matter
BC at Miami- doesn’t matter
Georgia Tech at Clemson go Tech.
Notre Dame at Wake go Wake
Virginia at Pitt doesn’t matter
Syracuse at Duke go Cuse.

Sunday
Florida State at NC State go Noles.

gotta stay in the top noine. Playing on Tuesday only has downside. Also need NC St., FSU, and ND to lose a bunch or win a bunch since SU loses a tiebreaker with them.

Alsacs again I thank you for picking up the slack with Marsh01 mysteriously quiet.

Other than being the man behind none of us being able to type the letter after E by itself on this website, these predictions were his biggest claim to fame.

If on Saturday, Syracuse beats Clemson, BC beats Florida State and Virginia beats Notre Dame, then there will be a four-way tie for 9th place in next week's ACCT.

Who has the tiebreakers? Which teams would be the 9-12 seeds between these four teams?

Notre Dame: 8-10
Florida State: 8-10
Boston College: 8-10
Syracuse: 8-10

Which seed would we most prefer? I'm thinking an extra win vs. Wake or Georgia Tech would be most beneficial for the resume than a bye/Pitt win on Tuesday.

9 seed: 1st-round Bye, vs. 8 seed (likely Louisville) in 2nd round on Wednesday, if win vs. 1 Virginia on Thursday
10 seed: vs. 15 Pittsburgh in first-round on Tuesday, vs. 7 seed (Miami or Va Tech) on Wednesday, if win vs. UNC/Duke on Thursday
11 seed: vs. 14 Wake/GaTech in 1st-round on Tuesday, vs. 6 seed (likely Miami or VaTech) in 2nd round on Wednesday, if win vs. UNC/Duke on Thursday
12 seed: vs. 13 Wake/GaTech in 1st-round on Tuesday, vs. 5 seed (likely NC State or Clemson) in 2nd round on Wednesday, if win vs. NCSU/Clemson on Thursday

It may sound crazy, but our easiest ticket to the semifinals may actually be via the 12 seed. That's the only way we can avoid Virginia, Duke or UNC in the quarterfinals.

So even if we lose to Clemson on Saturday, the team could still win three next week (vs. 13 seed, 5 seed, 4 seed), get to 21 wins and sneak into the Dance.

So a team that plays 6.5 players is going to win three straight over 3 days?

Got it.

Mini conference of the four tied teams. We would be 1-3. Not sure of the others off hand.

In case anyone was wondering, the standings would be...

9. Notre Dame
10. Boston College
11. Florida State
12. Syracuse

I'm good with this. This would mean Syracuse gets a big win over a Top 20 team on Saturday and have a chance to make a run in the ACCT. But we'd need BC to beat FSU.
