Games this week( who to root for)

Sunday
Notre Dame at Louisville- Go Irish
Boston College at Georgia Tech- Go BC to keep GT away from the 11 seed

Monday
Virginia at Syracuse- Go Syracuse

Tuesday
Wake Forest at Duke- doesn’t matter
Virginia Tech at Florida State- winner of this game will get the 4 seed
North Carolina at Boston College- doesn’t matter
Pittsburgh at Miami- doesn’t matter

Wednesday
Clemson at Notre Dame- doesn’t matter
Georgia Tech at NC State- Go GT

Friday
Miami at Virginia Tech- go Miami
Saturday
Syracuse at Clemson Go SU
Florida State at Wake- Go WF
Notre Dame at Pittsburgh- doesn’t matter
NC State at Boston College- Go BC
Louisville at Virginia- Go UVA
Duke at North Carolina- doesn’t matter.

Basically unless we go 0-2 and Louisville wins at Virginia we are going to be the 6 seed.
Worst case scenario is we lose out Louisville beats UVA and NC State wins out we are the 8 seed.

Odds are this IMO
50% 6 seed
30% 7 seed
10% 8 seed
10% 5 seed

Agreed, collision course with Duke...again. I don’t mind mixing it up with them for a 3rd time this year on a “neutral” court. It’s only to improve seeding at that point. Too bad we can’t count on Wake to give FSU a game next weekend.

Great analysis, thanks. I think you need to change the last regular season games from Friday to Saturday.

Miami-Virginia Tech are playing this Friday.
The rest of those games are Saturday.

One thing I've noticed is the bottom of the conf this year is pretty bad, and the bottom is larger than normal. BC is now 5-11, they're in 10th place, they're 98th in Ken Pom. Last year, ND was 10th, they were 35th. We were 11th, we were 41.

The top 9 teams in the conf are all in the top 34, the bottom 6 rank anywhere from 72nd (Miami) to 189 (Wake Forest). So what I am getting at is that it seems like no matter what, our first round game is going to be against a team we are going to be solid favorites over. (Am I thinking about this in part because in the back of my mind i think we could lose the last 3 and be on the wrong side of the bubble? maybe)

The entire Big ten is in the Ken Pom top 75, which is really something.

Syracuse should send the ACC schedule makers a card this year, only had to play one team among the top 8 twice and the other 3 all within 9-15. not all conference records are the same now adays for sure

So GT is now the 10 seed and BC is the 11 seed. SU win tomorrow locks up the 6 seed, loser of PITT/ND is the 15 seed.

Would be nice to play at night on Wednesday for once !

We played on Wednesday night last season as the #11 vs. #14 Wake Forest. The next night SU lost to the TarH Holes. SU did play back to back noon games in the 2016 and 2017 ACCT vs. Pitt and Miami respectively.

As the 11 seed wouldn't we have played on a Tuesday night?

Correct, I got the day of the first game wrong. By winning SU then played on Wednesday night vs. #6 UNC.
