Do you believe the bank fraud story?I tend not to believe the negatives.

The guy admitted fault and spent time in jail. Not sure why it's relevant now. At least unlike some other millionaires in Skaneateles he's not trying to play shell games to get huge tax breaks from the local governments.Do you believe the bank fraud story?
Since guy openly talks about, what’s not to believe.Do you believe the bank fraud story?
Nope, the poster said he didn’t have confirmation on negative stories and didn’t necessarily believe them. I was looking for clarification.Since guy openly talks about, what’s not to believe.
do you think that makes him a bad person forever.
Adam Weitsman says will not buy $17.9 million Palazzo Riggi
The Saratoga Springs home of socialite Michele Riggi and her late husband Ronald is back on the market after Wietsman, the owner of a $1 billion scrap metal business in central New York opts against purchase of mansion
Weitsman just freed up some money for more NIL.

Well that stinks, I work up the street from here. Was hoping to run in to him and lobby him for some NIL for the team!Weitsman just freed up some money for more NIL.

yes of course, as he talks about it with his friends and within the profound group as life learning experience.Do you believe the bank fraud story?
Give me lots of money and I'll help the less fortunate out of the kindness of myThey don’t have to rep one of his companies in a commercial.
A LOT of these collectives that are paying ENTIRE TEAMS are requiring that the players are involved in local charities and such.
And Weitsman seems fairly charitably inclined, so it’s quite possible that’s what he’s done, assuming he even has done anything to date.
Not sure why people want to tear the guy down… he made a mistake, did his time and grew from it. Over 50% of the self made billionaires on the Forbes list have had a Company go bankrupt, learned from it and then hit it big. Those companies stiffed vendors, creditors, investors and governments. While not exactly the same thing, perspective is driven by whomever is shining the light. Why envy them, yet try to tear down one of our own fan members? Doesn’t make sense to me.Do you believe the bank fraud story?
Depends on what the strategy is. If you get in bidding wars for 5 stars sure, but SU can’t swim in those waters. From what I’m hearing….$1M in “NIL” $ is like bringing a butter knife to a gun fight.
You are certainly downplaying it.If you've ever written a check in your life for more than was currently in your account and/or bounced a check in your life (as I have), then we're just as guilty. The difference is in the amounts/circumstances. It wasn't an elaborate "fraud" scheme, it was an error of personal judgement with significant consequences.
Right, that’s a comparable situation. When I was 14, I may or may not have stolen a stop sign. I wasn’t aware it was a felony at the time of the alleged incident, but learned quite quickly it was a serious offense. Now I’m 41 and realize how dumb that was and that it could have led to trauma for an unsuspecting family. Not being caught or charged for this alleged incident doesn’t absolve me. Should I wear that alleged stop sign around my neck for life?

That's what depresses me the most. I'm glad Adam is willing to back some NIL opportunities, but a lot of these State schools have 50 Adam's and a lot more alumni that can fund their collectives with more money than most.We have one $1M whale.
SEC schools have 100's of them.
100’s? Multiple schools each have 100’s of alums willing to drop millions on football players? We have one $1M whale.
SEC schools have 100's of them.
Actually, again perspective.. Removing a stop sign could easily result in a car accident, potentially taking a life. I’d say thats worse than check fraud.Right, that’s a comparable situation.
Yup. ND five star safety commit was offered north of $2m by Oklahoma and Oregon, and he turned them downFrom what I’m hearing….$1M in “NIL” $ is like bringing a butter knife to a gun fight.
I believe you but what is your source in this, it’s really not surprising in today’s atmosphere.Yup. ND five star safety commit was offered north of $2m by Oklahoma and Oregon, and he turned them down
It was floating around Twitter and the recruiting sites boardsI believe you but what is your source in this, it’s really not surprising in today’s atmosphere.
Well, it’s certainly not something of which you should be proud, but you were not an adult.Actually, again perspective.. Removing a stop sign could easily result in a car accident, potentially taking a life. I’d say thats worse than check fraud.
If you’re going to roll your eyes, come loaded.
I’m not sure how any of this is sustainable without money coming directly from tv deals and revenue sources. But maybe there’s a lot more millionaire football fans out there than I realize…That's what depresses me the most. I'm glad Adam is willing to back some NIL opportunities, but a lot of these State schools have 50 Adam's and a lot more alumni that can fund their collectives with more money than most.
