Adams and Howard - Opt Out Situation

Four. Adams is a returning senior with no eligiblity so he doesn't count towards the 85. There are then 58 returning underclassmen. 22 commits signed in the class. 23 if Moss signs. So Can sign two more underclassmen for the class and then could bring in two grad transfers.

Doesn't mean that's what they do...just the numbers.
You can take Moss out of the equation.

1) If they weren't on the team, they wouldn't be working out with the team.
2) They stayed in shape. That's good. If they were training for the draft, they wouldn't be on campus.
3) Howard and Adams have been sort of been hinted to as being here. It's been mentioned on the board.

Also, Adams is almost out of eligibility anyway, even with the extra year. Why not let him back?

The optics are awful if you wouldn't let them train for the draft because they used the COVID opt out.

if the kids opt out but stayed in school and did the work, letting them practice is not a bad thing even if they dont come back unless they are hurting the team in some way.

I never said they wouldn't be allowed to.

I was saying that draft-prep guys usually train with professionals and not on campus.

Well, this count is like a rolling stone it just keeps on going. And a rolling stone gathers no Moss. We are now at 6 spots with no Moss and Lemieux transferring.

one thing to think about.. you normall would look at transfers next yr with a yr left... you are gonna see alot of kids who graduate next yr 2 with 2 yrs left and it might the next 2 yrs like that

That really sucks. Was looking forward to having another player from within the Jones brothers bloodline

Maybe he goes to a prep school and considers committing for the 2022 cycle.

Having ample options at that position so we don't have to run Tucker into the ground as a sophomore would be great.
Keep them all fresh, run them all, fresh backs in an uptempo offense is a necessity, if one gets the hot hand, keep going to him and spell him with the other guys for a rest or breather

It has been a long time since we sent a recruit with grade problems to Milford. I wonder if that is a possibility for an upstate NY recruit we really like? Does Milford offer scholarships?

Might be good to get that pipeline going again.

Ouch. Well that is a serious hit. He was probably the most promising big in the upcoming class and we seriously needed to bring in some talent on the interior D-line immediately. It doesn’t seem likely that we can replace that spot in this class.

With all OL looking much improved, a new God-like OL coach, vast improvements in our RBs over last season and reason to expect major improvements in passing as well, there is reason to expect major improvements in our ability to run the ball.

The offense should be much improved.
AND...with a running QB, too.
