Admit it

Can't do it. I hate myself right now. At least during the season I can be amazed at how stupid I am every Saturday. The last two days have possibly shown me how stupid I am in life.

I'm really assessing my priorities.

In other news, I just finished watching 47 Ronin, and at the end it actually claimed to be inspired by a true story. I'm taking that very literally. I always knew dragons and kung fu and crap was real. 47 Ronin is a factual historical account of Japan.

I've thrown my tantrum and have calmed down. We are so collectively sensitive that we are incapable of being rational. I won't say that I'm not going to freak out again, but at this point I have no choice but to trust Coyle.

Now my concern is that I am idiotically leaving for Dublin tomorrow night and will miss most of the Wisconsin game and all Georgetown. Just really horrible planning on my part.

I'm tired of the drama and the bullcrap. I understand that you can't appreciate the glory without first going through the darkness but holy hell, it's wearing me out. I think with Coyle I may have seen him as a savior for football and he may still be, but the rollercoaster ride the past 15 years sure is a giant buzz kill

This. The new norm around here is irrational. The pendulum has swung so far in the wrong direction that people actually think they're being rational by being irrational!

You should be more embarrassed you sat through an entire Keanu Reeves movie.

In lieu of winning, I fully embrace the crazy and irrational world of coaching changes. People who get fired up over this stuff have HOPE which is more than most have, sadly. It's sports. Be nuts and enjoy every angle you can!

When my expectations for this team meet reality I will officially be insane.

I'm starting to think we should fire our coach every year.
We're making a solid run at the basketball post count. One more offer/decline cycle to a candidate might put us past basketball side.

This has been a wonderful exercise in group think.

I love how everyone universally decided that the winning formula is to hire a coach that runs a spread offense (someone please explain Mike Leach's lack of success at WSU).

I'd also like someone to explain how a defensive coordinator like Gary Patterson was able to turn a tiny little private school like TCU into one of the best teams in the Big 12.

This is like playing rock, paper, scissors against someone who thinks "Good ole rock. Nothing beats rock!"

They were mediocre in the Big 12 until they hired a spread offense guy.

Leach had Wazzu in the top 25 this year...somewhere we haven't been since 2001. I'll take his "lack of success" any day.
