Agreed it shouldn't happen but being in the crowd isn't a get out of jail free card. Especially if they are throwing things at players. Words alone shouldn't result in physical violence but when fans throw things at players I am not upset when that is met with equal measures.Players should never attack fans but people should never harass a captive audience either. It’s like when people talk down to service workers just because they know they’re can get away with it, so I don’t feel sorry for such fans!
I wonder this too and then I started thinking. I think he did it for a reason. It was something strategic behind this imo.I was wondering, why would he or any coach be looking for a heckler after the game? I guess the guy was yelling things at Babers throughout the game and it really got under his skin. Not sure I like that. Why tell the press after the fact? Just doesn't set well with me. Makes me wonder what he would have done had he found the guy.
It was either OrangeinBoston or kirbivoreI also got the impression that it was a Syracuse fan.
Whatever his reason, he was wrong. You can't ever let them know that 1. you heard them and 2. that they got to you. Laugh it off.I remember one time when I was working at Walmart in Lawn and Garden about 20 years ago I had a customer talk down to me and call me a moron. For whatever reason it hit me just right and I actually confronted them as they were getting in their car as I was already working in the parking lot.
I was calm the entire time and I had no intention of getting violent (though I’m not naive). It was my intention to explain to the guy why they were wrong and I was not in fact a moron. The customer was shocked and actually ended up apologizing. I was in my early twenties at the time and my ego was more fragile than it is now.
Point being I think I know what Dino was intending to do. Someone got under his skin and he felt the need to verbally get something off his chest.
I'll say what others have hinted at - perhaps it was racist in nature. If that's the case, you don't laugh that off. You face that head on.Whatever his reason, he was wrong. You can't ever let them know that 1. you heard them and 2. that they got to you. Laugh it off.

Brilliant. There are no words for this incredible logic.I had much the same feelings. What was the point? And we wonder why our team doesn't play with discipline.
Still think that SU “fan” was a Boston kid with an orange shirt on. It wasn’t even Cuse merch, and on top of that, they recorded it? What type of Cuse fan wears orange gear that doesn’t even have the logo etc on it?
Yeah, we play with such great discipline. How could I think it comes from the coach when he wants toBrilliant. There are no words for this incredible logic.
If you are a professional coach, paid millions, a leader of men, you ignore it. The easiest thing in life and second is way down the list, is to be a good winner. He should never have brought that up in a press conference. Be big.Players should never attack fans but people should never harass a captive audience either. Laugh it off or cave their face in if you get the chance.Whatever his reason, he was wrong. You can't ever let them know that 1. you heard them and 2. that they got to you. Laugh it off.
I just went on you tube and the first thing I see are 4 U.S. servicemen being heckled in Poland by aLaugh it off or cave their face in if you get the chance.
No need to talk about it though.
Well yeah, I can’t disagree with you here.If you are a professional coach, paid millions, a leader of men, you ignore it. The easiest thing in life and second is way down the list, is to be a good winner. He should never have brought that up in a press conference. Be big.
Maybe. But people are way too comfortable saying stuff like that these days, as if getting beat up isn’t a potential real consequence.I just went on you tube and the first thing I see are 4 U.S. servicemen being heckled in Poland by a
major league P.O.S. white nationalist. He said one vile thing after another. They didn't even acknowledge that he was there. Proud of those guys. The Heckler will run in to the wrong person someday. Ignore them and move on.
I was at the game. It was the oddest crowd I’ve ever seen. Tons of high school kids who were there with no interest in the game. I think BC gives free tickets to local high schools. Felt like a high school dance. Adults who an acted like they were at a Lakers game. BC people are odd. Scumbags. Horrible stadium with brain dead idiots running the concessions. They did have fiddlehead cans, though. The Enrique Cruz incident also made me feel like BC had a plan to incite and instigate. The dude behind the BC bench was an idiot, SU fan or not .
I think the bigger issue on why we couldn't take over the game was the horrible start. Two turnovers and 10 pts. It just couldn't have been much worse.I was at the game. Tons of Syracuse fans. We never got a chance to take over the place due to the garbage OL.
Also, looked like we traveled about 45 guys to the game. Sideline was sparse.
Fire Dino
We all know what the heckler said to a black head coach, and he/she deserves to have their ass kickedIf you are a professional coach, paid millions, a leader of men, you ignore it.
