Am I wrong?!?! Do other feel same?!?!

how much money do we look to lose if we beat Clemson and you assume Clemson would have gone unbeaten.
I believe the year Nevada upset Boise preventing them from winning out and going to a bus playoff, it cost Nevada about 1.7 million dollars. This was probably 5 years ago now. So due to increased revenue alone it's gotta be over 2 million easy if the system was the same. But it isn't.

With a playoff on the line, I imagine that number has at least doubled for the conference mates. If Clemson were to make the title game, that might well come close to tripling it.

No matter what, SU needs to win this game. I still think Clempson has a loss this year so it may as well be Saturday.

I was rooting hard for FSU last weekend, and was disappointed to lose, but I will say I was definitely LESS upset about losing that game than any other game in my lifetime. I think specifically for the FSU program and where it is right now, in many ways, the program is probably better off long term to be served by Clemson winning into the playoffs than by FSU winning that game and no ACC team making the playoffs. That doesn't mean I wanted FSU to lose, but it's more consolation than I would normally get with a tough loss.

I would say for you guys, I think the impact of a win over Clemson for your program would most likely far outweigh the benefit your program would receive by the ACC making the playoffs. So I wouldn't have any second thoughts if I was you guys.

I will of course be rooting for Clemson to take care of business, LOL.

Listen. If Syracuse wins, they beat the #1 team in the country. I will say that again: should Syracuse win, they beat the #1 team in the country. When is the last time they beat a top 25 team? (Lousiville in 2012?)

You take this win every time and twice on Saturday. Otherwise why are you a Syracuse fan? Keeps Syracuse in bowl contention for another week too.

A marquee win for Syracuse that may not happen again for another decade vs a few more million for the ACC. No contest.

And I will add this: a Syracuse loss does not guarantee Clemson in the playoff. The season is not over after Saturday

A couple mil is a drop in the bucket for SU, and no I don't buy the whole we are so poor show and dance that SU, or many schools try to pull. These universities are some of the richest organizations in the country. The accounting may make it look like certain aspects are poor, but...back on topic...This never even entered my head as a question prior to reading this thread. A Cuse win would be incredible this weekend. Clemson.
