Minny sent 8 guys at Hunt and NO one got home! Great pick up by Jerome and a WALL up the middle. 3 remaining defenders locked in man and no one on the QB = a Grand Canyon sized lane for the win :)

I thought the Minny rush parted like Moses and the Red Sea.

The offensive line was amazing on that play, and obvious 'Rel for finding that crease and the endzone. Awesome play all around.

Agreed. In my opinion, the OL was the strongest unit of the season. They got very little recognition but they rarely got talked about (which means they are doing something right). And even against the top 10 teams on our schedule , they held their own.

That's one area of the team that DM really made an impact on. I hope Perles gets some BUs on the recruiting trail and is able to keep up the success.

I agree re: the OL. Foy, in particular, has stepped up his game.

I think Estime tied up a guy in the end zone on the scramble, as well, preventing the DB from being able to step up and close on Hunt when he ran for the end zone.

We really need Hickey to come back. If he does, OL will continue to be a strength. Four returning starters, an heir apparent for Macky [Emerich], and three players who've played including two OTs [Knapp / Lasker, with Palmer as an interior lineman].

Next question is: can players like Hayes, Burton, Miller, etc. work into the rotation and REALLY bolster depth? Also, does Kendall Moore stay at TE or shift to OT?

We can still have a solid OL without Hickey returning, but if he does we have the potential to field an above average one.

I also noticed in the photo of the TD run posted in the P-S that Estime was in the endzone blocking the DB to clear the way for Hunt.

BTW, maybe it was a fake, but it looked like the play call was a pass to Parris(?) on the right, who was covered. Either that or Hunt sold it really well.

Great play by Hunt. Kept his cool didnt force the ball good vision and pocket awareness to step into the opening to his left and make a game winning play. Cant teach that the kid has it.

Hunt was definitely trying to pass the ball to his right- believe the intended target was Cornelius. That is the side Minnesota flooded with the blitz. Line did an unbelievable job picking it up, and Jerome may have taken out two guys to that side. Play broke down, Hunt tucked and ran left.

There is a great sideline video floating around of the play.
