And that is the sound, sports fans

I'll say this -- this is on Dino and his staff. Playcalling on both sides of the ball was weak. Defense did nothing different to try and stop the run. How about a run blitz or two? How about trying a five-man line instead of rovering in a safety to make a fake five man front?

Just a horrendous performance after five solid games in a row. This is similar to a Coach P loss to Minnesota or East Carolina. Same exact crap.

I can't wait for Dino to get all indignant in some interviews coming up. Something has to happen with the defense. We will not win when you can't stop the run. Change coach, change scheme, change players. Do something. Status quo is not good.

I’m in a big group chat with fam/extended fam/friends. All die-hard fans like us...all officially over this program.

This is too much.

Maybe if I lived in Syracuse I would go, simply to go, but we don’t. We all live in NYC/LI and Atlanta. We all spend a ton of money going to away games in driving distance, flying to a game a year, some donate etc..

Everyone is sick of this. This game seems to be the one that broke the camels back.

I think I can echo a lot of fans sentiments when I say, this is “the game” of Dino’s era that we had to win.

We’ve stuck with this program, and Dino, through absolute nonsense for a decade, and Dino, a few years that all played out the exact same way.

This year was supposed to be different. Down ACC. Senior QB. National Attention.

All leading up to the biggest let down football game I may have witnessed in my 34 years of living. We’ve lost bigger games since I became a fan, but I don’t know that there was ever more on the line for the future of our program as there was today.

We predictably **** the bed, just like everyone figured we would.

This is all so sad to read
Positivity is good in sports remember

Well said. Matt Park tried to downplay the importance of this game at halftime. I'm tired. Things were supposed to be different this year, but it's the same old stuff. The coaching is frustrating. Five quarters summed up who they really are.

I think we can still have a very good (for us) season. There's a path to 8 wins still.

It's just that, as you observed and know well, the let downs are relentless for our fan base. So even if we have that pretty good season... not as many people are going to be following it. Because they just got burned. Again.

Pitt was fighting. This win saved their season. I get it. We even came out strong. But we let them get the big TD, and then we gave up the fumble score, and we stalled out because Dungey was wild, and all the while it was close enough for Pitt to play to their strength.

I can't fault people for being upset.

Sadly I agree with this... must win game and we lost. One step forward two steps back.

agreed if you believed all the hype---and as a 4 ticket season holder i do not. the era of the faith w/o evidence has passed. this was a must win game against
a mediocre team. sure there were defensive flaws that lost this game --but there were coaching flaws as well that contributed to the outcome. we have alot more work to do and it begins with coaching decisions, use of personnel(especially qbs)
defense if horrible.

I've been a diehard my entire life, season tickets for fball and lax and thousands of dollars for parking passes merch etc. But I am at my wits end. If Ward is back I am done I can't watch this crap anymore year after year. That was UVA under Shafer part 2. This board has given Dino a pass the first two years and with good reason but enough is enough with these awful performances.

At least Shafer’s team made it to the third OT that game.
