And the hits keep on coming for FSU...

Cook's been busy -- he just got off pre-trial intervention (for a property damage offense in 2014) at the end of June (2015). But there was no video footage of him punching the girl in the face. So we'll see if the U takes action against him after he's charged.

There WAS a video of the Johnson incident (involving another girl and a different bar) the night after Cook's incident. So Fisher dismissed him from the team (let's see how long that lasts).

If there's no dismissal of Cook (or Johnson is miraculously re-instated), it'll be clear that FSU has learned absolutely nothing about how to handle male-on-female assault cases from the Jamis Winston disaster.

Jimbo's coaching philosophy and recruiting needs to make a drastic change here. Because what ever he is doing,it ain't working

The irony is that it is. But I see your point.

He has a National Championship. So it works on the field, just not off. That's an interesting question to raise... Would we as a fanbase rather have our current class which squeaks into bowl games every other season, but for all intensive purposes are model citizens, or a National Championship and constantly have to read/hear about the student athletes committing crimes?

They're going to be able to put together a terrific Foxy Boxing team this year.

Can we get at least one or two years of the "bad" model to get another NC and then switch back. ;)

Cheers,
Neil

I feel a little bad for Jimbo. Here he has these players getting into trouble on a weekly basis and he and his wife are getting a divorce because, according to rumors on the internet, she slept with a former UF player. Not a good time to be Jimbo Fisher.

that rumor is a doozy for sure......speechless

I'm not sure what the big deal is. If you go out to clubs all the time apparently this is accepted behavior nowadays. If you're a bunch of old farts you wouldn't get that it's acceptable to punch the out of women half your size because your too big a p*ssy to ever do that to anyone your own size. At least that's what I read in the other thread.

Why feel sorry for him, this has been going on for years but between the University and the TPD they have swept the stuff under the rug. I now hope this keeps happening and FSU along with him take a nice fall.

What is even worse for Fisher and his family than the divorce (and that is saying something) is his young son was diagnosed with Fanconi anemia I think during the 2013 season. People with the disease are usually dead before age 33. You will see the boy in pictures with Fisher when the team runs onto the field. I think UVA football coach Mike London's daughter has the same disease.

years? Try decades as I had a very good friend who walked on as a fullback back in'81 and the stories of drug use and angle dust were often. They had a LB. use angle dust and got on a plane in Tampa created havoc before the flight left the ground, escorted off w/o being arrested. The guy then gets back to the apartment and climbs a palm tree and starts throwing coconuts at the neighbors house.Players were probably getting into more trouble then,as the internet and twitter didn't exist.

LOL. Sorry but your link didn't go anywhere. ;)
Hmmm... that was weird. That's what I get for posting on the run.
I've fixed it.

Time to put ankle bracelets on...otherwise Jimbo you are just wasting your words

then maybe he should take a sabbatical and focus on his personal life for a while, since he's failing miserably at the off the field aspects of running a football program.

Lol. Exactly what was said. You nailed it bro. Way to instigate ish for no reason. People do have different life events that can shape a viewpoint when it comes to current events. I imagine yours consisted of a bunch World of Warcraft, holier than thou preaching and, apparently, mountain biking.

None of what you said is true. Never, ever, did i say its acceptable. I just dont think he should receive the venom some of you spewed at him, you know, him being a young adult who messed up (because you're perfect, right?). You're just being a jackass because you think you have this fake code of honor and get mad when anyone slightly disagrees with you.

oh I love this. Personal experience. You've SEEN THINGS MAN!!! Don't tell me I'm wrong because I'VE SEEN THINGS. I HAVE LIFE EXPERIENCES. The women in the Long Island bars are aggressive and deserve a good smack, because you've SEEN THINGS. If girls didn't want to get punched in the face, they should be in bars, amiright?

You know what - if you want to play the life events card, as if you've somehow seen and experienced things that make it justifiable to punch a woman in the face in a bar, then go ahead and show your hand. What, exactly, is it that you've seen that has impacted your views so much? Go ahead, enlighten us.
