Lots of kickers had bad days today. On RedZone they mentioned new balls being used that are supposed to be more kicker friendly. Atlanta's kicker missed the game tying kick from 41 and doinked one off the upright in earlier from 26 yards. Bucs kicker missed xp end of their game too.

Analyst Says 1 Person Is To Blame For Browns' Kicker Issues

The Cleveland Browns walked away from Week 1 with plenty of regret after a 17-16 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Rookie kicker Andre Szmyt's

Yep, I feel ya, as another life long Cleveland fan.

Bad teams find ways to lose, and good teams find ways to win. Case in point, the loathed Steelers...yet again...versus the Jets.

The Bengals (as good as an offense as any in the NFL per numerous talking heads) had 7 total yards in the 2nd half and zero, repeat, zero first downs! Yet, the Browns still managed and found a way to lose.

Besides the missed (under beautiful conditions) PAT and about the same distance FG, both 2nd half INT's (one which contributed to the Bengals game winning FG) were practically identical flukey type deflections/richochets that hit Cleveland receivers hands and should've been caught by NFL caliber players. Cleveland led the NFL in drops last year...had 4-5 in this game.

Wow, usually a poor kicking performance in week 1 is a death sentence. I think because it's a relatively minor change to make especially for early in the season.
