As much as I hate to give up my throwback Rob Moore avatar, as I am convinced that this is the reason SU achieved greatness in 2018, I will remain consistent with tradition. But this time I’m going to go WAY BACK to an SU great from long ago: Wilmeth Sidat-Singh. And not the classic football passing pose either, but the old school, tough as hell, Tuskegee Airmen pic. Go Orangemen!

First of all, I started this. Not Crusty. It's the one positive thing I've actually contributed to this board. I started it when Marrone brought back the burning of the shoes tradition. That being said, I think those who are holding onto their Avatar because we had a good season are missing the point. It's a new year. They burn the shoes regardless of success because whatever happened last year, was last year. You need to start fresh every year with the attitude that it has to be earned. Nothing is given, even with a successful season last year. That is the entire reason behind the tradition.
