That made me cackle. It was a dumb question. No slam at Roberson.

I think JB looked much more relieved than in some past pressers. Yes he had his fun but look at the beginning. He says we have gotten much better over the last couple of weeks in games and practice. He said we have a long way to go and are neither great on offense or defense but we are getting there and improving on both. I think he feels like he has finally reached MikeG, Cooney is becoming a guard rather than just a shooter, Kaleb can play in big games and Roberson figured out what school he's at. All good things moving forward.

As far as the comments on Chris, just look at his last 3 games and realize that JB is laughing a little bit at Chad Ford as well as likely trying to get Chris motivated.

The Buss comment was basically do you remember the Carlton game and then the fact that Buss didn't hit anything for the next 10 games? He's saying lest see what happens nothing more.

I would suspect the Tyler quote means he feels Tyler is making progress but expects much more.

Just my interpretations.

I think Patterson also brings stronger ball handling skills to the team than KJ right now! I don't get it either, but it is obvious JB is never going to give him a chance to play in big games. He does not have to be hitting 3s to help this team out for 5 minute stretches. It would nice to see Cooney get a5 5 minute break now and then also.

I don't think this is anywhere close to the truth. Put Ron in the same situations as Kaleb all game long and he would look worse. They are playing vastly different rolls. Did you see Joseph utilizing a beautiful spin dribble a couple of times last night?

With JB there can always be other motives for what he says and how he says it. I've been watching him for decades and I'll be darn if I can figure him out. I feel better with a qualifier.

These are "his kids" and his words might have at least some affect on NBA teams' decisions. If he wants to do tough love with a pro prospect and/or with the kid's family - do it in private because he could be costing "his kids" one helluva lot of money.

I was thinking the same thing Toga. Chris has not come out and said he was a lottery pick - Ford did. JB wants to criticize Ford yet throws his own player under the bus to do it. I don't think making fun of your own player in a sarcastic way is the right way to get back at Ford. And JB has said he does not use his pressers to motivate his players. So, what is his point?

Patterson can't play. Great athlete. Not yet a good high major D-1 player
