When Hunt came into the Wagner game last year after the 3rd and final drive of Drew Allen, he scored on like 10 straight drives stretching into the Tulane game.

As good as he looks against non-P5 teams, he looks super bad against P5 schools.

40 is usually where coaches don't feel their backs against the wall and start going for bigger plays, IMO. Could be that he gets greedy between the 40's, with what he thinks are the blockbuster plays in the book. And we can't execute them.

Playaction when you haven't established the run, that screen the defense just saw 3/5 plays in the last drive, and the deep ball down the sideline that if the field was 10 yards wider (on both sides) might result in the WR getting his finger tips on the ball.

That's really interesting but not surprising based on the games I've watched over that period. In general, we really, really struggle in the red zone so it doesn't surprise me from basically field goal range in that the Passer rating tanks.

Tongue in cheek response, mostly. He's also missed badly on many deep balls, whether to the sideline or not. I blame the staff just as much, I see no improvement in his game and with some of the basic throws he's not able to make, there seems to be some regression at times.

The most frustrating thing for me about him isn't the missed deep balls (I really just said deep balls lol). Anyway, it's the 2 or 3 series I've seen where he's sailed passed on 2nd and 3rd downs that led to 3 and outs. That just can't happen. It's hard to make an argument about a QB not being inept when he does stuff like that.

He is better than last year, the kid has made more than a few high end throws.

It doesn't matter, he isn't playing again this year.

I don't disagree that he has made some really nice throws this year. We just disagree on other things. Fair enough.
