Nothing? Nadda? Zilch? Even though practices are closed, someone has to have heard something, right?

Just hoping for no injuries... (knock on wood).

NO! AND THAT'S THE WAY MARRONE WANTS IT!

Now shut up and sit down...or you'll be accused of being a bad fan.

In my mind practices have been closed to avoid the media frenzy that comes with DMac5 working with QBs, Freeney w/ the DE's, and Sean Payton working with Hackett.

Either that or they don't trust AB to keep his pants on in public.

I've heard a lot. Just can't share it.

Team looks good so far though, lots of optimism.

you're only going to hear the same reports you hear every year anyways - that kids are bigger, stronger faster. At least now you don't have to lather, rinse, repeat.

But you've posted it on the pay side correct?

Can you at least tell me if they are trying such trickery as the "pump fake" on passing plays? I think Nassib could be absolutely lethal with it if given the time to use it.

Don't forget the annual debate over whichever unit is looking good: Is it because they've improved and will be a strength this season? Or is the other side of the ball a significant weakness?

We're keeping these guys under wraps:

There's a 50 paragraph write up on the pay side. We haven't done the pump fake, as it fakes out our own players, but we have installed the fumblerooski, which we will use on 1st down probably 95% of the time.

Well, that's what we hear every spring. Remember, it's our own guys who we're playing against out there.

It is appropriate that we are playing Mizzou this year in MO as I have definately joined the "Show Me" camp.

Still an improvement over the TE end around :noidea:.

Would love to see the first play of the year be a RB direct snap where Nassib fakes as if the shotgun snap went over his head. The collective "FUUUU... YYYAAAA!" of the crowd on such a play would be epic.

I know but what I've been told has made me much more enthusiastic than before spring started. I had tempered my expectations greatly before the spring.

Fumlerooski is going to be used on 2nd and 3rd downs. 1st down is reserved for hiking the ball over the QB's head, this year it will be used on all 1st downs.

To be fair, we have started out each season strong under Doug. With Greggers, you could usually tell the season was over after a game or two.

Here's the thing- the resourceful or the well connected do know things. However, there's a fear of posting information because its well-known that the coaching staff reads the board.

The Coach doesn't want things getting out. That's the conspiracy theory as to why practices are closed off.

bnoro, you can't share who's looking good (on the field)? What harm can that possibly do?

I can tell you the OLine looks good, unfortunately the depth is rough, but Hickey vs. Curtis is going to be a battle for that RT position. Foy's made big strides, might take the other guard spot. Still needs to lose weight.

Defensively I know that Esk is the best athlete on the team. PTG looks fantastic thus far. Everything else sounds status quo from what i've heard, besides a few things that can't be shared.

I agree, I mean who really gives a rats ass anyway... It's useless info and the same every year

I think PTG can be great IF he can somehow stay healthy

Yup. Have heard the same song and dance before. Count me in the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp.

The Wash. Generals always look good when they play each other.
